DO NOT TAKE AWAY MY SONG

Do not take away my song
It’s all I have in world,
Besides this all that I have
With me is the Lord’s word.

World is full of pain and woe
Given by man to man.
Every man truly wants to
Be wealthy as he can.

I have given up desire,
I don’t have worldly needs.
But if someone takes my song
Then my heart truly bleeds.

It’s my only possession,
It cannot enrich you.
This is the balm for my heart;
Let it in my heart brew.
