It's a pretty big world and so many people in it,
that sometimes God has to think for a minute
and gives us a friend when no other can do,
that will stand by our side, help see us through.

Thank God for FRIENDS!
They come without asking, they stand by our side.
They just seem to know when we're hurting inside.
They are there with a smile and a pat on the back,
and offer to help with whatever it is that we lack.

GOD SENDS US FRIENDS!
He knows when the struggle is too hard to bear,
He whispers to someone who is ready to care
about someone who needs a quick helping hand,
I know that it happens, I know He can understand.

HIS LOVE IS PERFECT!
With faith in my heart, and a song on my lips
I will greet each new day at my fingertips.
I'll just say "Thank you" for the kindness you show,
bask in His mercy, for sending a friend I love so!
