And I Wait
A poem about my love and lack of patience
Rated:

Avg Rating: (5)
A trepid lover slowly approaches
Quickly filling me with anticipation

And I wait

A rotting sweetness plays on the breeze
Surrounding me with a fog of dampness

And I wait

The patient traveler moves steadily and slow
Darkness building quickly in the distance

And I wait

Now on my knees I extend my hands to heaven
And there I wait
for the rain
to fall.
