A MEMORY

Last night a memory
came to visit me
it flew through my heart
and set itself free

It gave me a kiss
upon my tender cheek
and flew through the house
playing hide-n-seek

It flew up the stairs
down through the hall
then it came back
and stood by the wall

It looked at me
and began to cry
it said my name
and told me why

I love you dearly
we're never apart
and with those words
flew back in my heart.
