SUNBEAMS
The desert sun lay waiting behind the golden mountain it's beams of burning fire burst forth like a fountsin They flew across the morning sky with such amazing grace and warmed the very hearts of every hidden face They kissed the sleeping heads of every little flower and turned the darkest moment into the brightest hour They crept across the shadowed land and over the ocean fair they melted the snowy mask of winter that was there They knocked upon my window with a tender sound when I tried to find them they were nowhere around I called to them out loud to please come down and play but it was time for them to softly fly away.
