A DOLL'S MEMORY
Over in the corner upon a dusty shelf sits an old ragged doll all by herself her hair is faded, her dress torn and gray her shoes are gone now, she was a beauty in her day She once had raven hair, skin smooth and clear a dress of purple velvet, eyes without a tear as years pass her by she grows old with grace for she knows within her heart, she will never be replaced She sits alone upon her shelf, silent as can be this is where she belongs, in the dreams of memories her little girl is grown now, with children of her own but she still remembers all the love she has ever known
