an acrostic poem

Against brick walls, cardboard boxes lined up one by one

Mothers, fathers, helpless, hopeless, holding daughters and sons

Everywhere you see them on corners through out every town

Reaching out to someone for a smile, not a frown

Indifference and indignity are all they can seem to find

Constant ridicule from people of their very kind

And forever out of sight and out of mind
