|He lays beside me with his angel eyes closed so tight
Nothing makes me happier then to lay with him at night
His arms tight, wrapped around me, his breath in my ear
I feel so warm and safe whenever this boy is near
I wonder what he is dreaming about, in that silent head
Is he dreaming of who lays beside him in bed?
Maybe its of our wedding day that will soon come
His dreams may be just dreams to some
But to me they are a link to all that he can’t say
It’s the end results of a long and bitter day
Dreams they say, hold some kind of key
I just pray that he is dreaming of me
The key they say holds secrets, to an unspoken heart
If I could just get in there, I’d have a place to start
I plan on spending every moment bringing a smile to his face
I plan on spending every moment beside him in my place
If I could get that key, I could bring him the charcoal sky
And if I could get that key, I could dry his every cry
As I lay beside him thinking of what his dreams may hold
A breeze swims in the room, I can feel that he is cold
Its in that moment that I completely understand
For when my angel gets cold, he reaches for my hand
What lies in his dreams is for him to hold and keep
Because I know now he loves me when he sleeps
