This is a computer screen (or a piece of paper if you've printed it).
It has black markings on it that indicate words and sentences are being constructed to allow the reader to join them in a coherent way and form a shared idea with the author. Here's my idea. You can let me be the author that you want me to be! No pressure then exists for me to provide you with any truths - you can create your own me. A Choose Your Own Author type deal. Win-win in my book -------------------------------- 1. Acme Writing Co. (UK) Representative Brain child of Willie Ki Oaty, the Acme Writing Co. was developed as an arm of the Ming the Merciless Trading company to provide positive propaganda programmes in conjunction with a series of subliminal reading materials to help aid world domination by external forces. Therefore Acme is actually a huge alien think-tank of advertising executives which explains the short, memorable and addictive nature of Acme related WDC documentation (along with the other worldly use of punctuation and spelling). 2. Stoner Dave's Sub-concious Overflow Says it all, man. Says it all... 3. Armin Hendrick's Mentalist Experiments Things go in the brain and swirl around for a bit and blip out of finger tips. Born in Barnsley to a bunch of traveling gypsy folk in the 50's, Armin is now the worlds number three dendrochronologist who writes to get the trees out of his head. 4. Melissa Hadwrough - Mother of Five Still working out how to get them to look after her in her impending dotage, Melissa is a careworker with a penchant for Jackie Collins and serial killers. Born in Luton, England to poster ink manufacturers; Frank and Moira Stappleton in 1967, she is married to John Hadwrough who teaches art at the local poly. 5. Amanda Carr, Lead Guitar Having tried to avoid hard work and challenges all her life, Amanda learned how to play the electric guitar so she could extend her student life and bum around with musicians until someone pointed out that she should really 'get on' seeing that she was technically a grown up. Selling out, settling down, having kids and brushing her hair are now second nature to her and one day she hopes to become the first Astronaut to be chosen by NASA on the grounds of them 'having a good feeling about what this girl could achieve...' -------------------------------------- Summation of some of my points are: It doesn't matter who I am and who you are. Why should bad guys play pretend on the Internet when we can all have a go? Is anonymity a chance to be more than we assume we are? Is anonymity a chance to know how Schrodinger's cat feels? Can I have a go at being Orson Wells? I think it's my turn... Is liberated literature the chance to write Harry Potter one day and Dallas the next? We can all be who we want to be but I applaud the men and women of WDC who are who they really say they are and proudly wear their craft on their sleeves. ------------------------------------ ADDITIONAL ALTERNATIVE BIOGRAPHICAL INPUT WELCOMED BY OTHER ACME WRITING CO. REPRESENTATIVES WORLD WIDE: 07/12/2007 - Southern State Representative posting; 6. Sunflower sunshine - San Francisco leftover from summer of love. Now lives in Santa Fe, NM and solves world problems while smoking sage brush. Discovered cure for AIDS and global warming last night--but forgot to write it down. In between writing the great American novel and solving world problems, Sunshine spends her time serving drinks at the “Been down so long it looks like up to me” bar and grill. She’s convinced Osama Bin Laden will walk in one day.
