Don't let go...

The hand that held me has let go,
taking away my stability,
the crutches that steadied my walk,
have given away, letting me fall,
you walk on, going further and further,
going so much beyond my reach,
I cry out in pain, but there is no answer to my call.
The darkness has swallowed the light,
and with it has gone my bravery,
the night has shadowed the day,
dark clouds hail a thunderstrom,
and I cower in fright;
have you forgotten how it scares me,
to be alone in this fight?
Do you not know,
how it feels to have no one by your side?
And still you move away,
towards that forbidden door,
advancing slowly, teasingly, so far away from me,
not even an affectionate word of good-bye?
Was really so worthless my love?
Knowing that it would last me a lifetime,
knowing that it could hold me together
and make me whole...
My tears , my pain, my love ,
everything you ignore,
Very much at the end,
you turn into my eye and,
in a flash you are gone,
and without you,
I am no more.
