"Burden"

Lost, guilt-ridden, forgotten I lie,
in one dark alley of this wide world;
left, deserted because of crimes,
I had not ever committed.
You say that I was an obstruction,
in your path, disappointed and hurt,
I went away,never to return.
I wish I could have given you,
better moments to treasure for life,
I wish I could have made you happy,
I wish my prayers would have come alive.
I wish I could have given you presents,
you would exhibit on your shelf with pride,
beside your grandma's ancient plate,
and your father's golden kite;
but guess love is not as special,
because it does not shine like gold,
it does not clank like silver plates
and what can be valuable
if it cannot be touched and seen
after all emotions cannot be stored in acounts
and least matters what one can just feel.
Love deep in my heart,
but my soul tarnished and old,
after all I was just a burden,
on your shoulder and mine."

May Almighty Allah bless and protect us!Aameen!
