NOT SO FAR AWAY
Not so far away, a hundred stars upon your lips danced. I could melt each one. Your hair aglow in Auburn flame; the wind tossed it with jealous fingers. Your eyes puddles of simmering delight - pulling me in, to bathe in their iris depths. Skin so fair, light reflected off your chiseled face. I, who drank from your touch- You, drunk from my grace. I was in wonder, then, as we loved well into a reckless morn: Yes, you were inside of me its pain and pleasure makes me now weep; forlorn But more than that, and of dreams my longings could never keep – you consumed my very Soul: Its taste now upon your impish palate – Tell me forever, was it sweet?
