My eyes sewn close,
knowing, what lies in sight
for miles and miles,
ranging in every corner is darkness.
A sudden movement-
a slithering around me on the floor;
my mouth opens,
to utter a scream,
but my voice is swallowed by a vaccum.
Nearing upon me,
the presence in the room,
enters me like a demonic spirit,
I sit-motionless, lifeless
as if possessed.

Falling to the floor,
twisting and turning,
writhing as if on fire;
the creature around me,
so cold and tormenting,
forces its callousness
into my being,
its darkness consuming.

A sudden reflection the looking glass,
stares back at me,
a creation of inexplicable monstrosity;
desperate I shatter the mirror on the wall.

A most excruciating sensation,
rises beyond measure within me,
sinking its venomous teeth deep,
in my aching insides.
My own bedevilled hands,
take that razor sharp glass,
slashing open my wrists,
ripping my body apart;
blood all over my face-
the only colour in the room,
deep - dark - dark - blood{c"red}- red.
A tongue dripping saliva,
licks my blood-stained face,
tasting victory as I wriggle in pain.

A cackle pricks the air,
voiced by my own lips,
it laughs at my pain in mockery,
sparking the anger that since long lain in quietude,
it exceeds my hearing frequency;
stung by this pain and desperation,
I lash at my own throat,
untill blood gushes out.

The door suddenly opens,
revealing some human shapes,
their countenances appear blurred;
as darkness battles the light.

Some figures advance towards me,
pulling onto my sides;
ripping my bloody dress further still,
my wounds bleed again as I am dragged on the floor.
A wavering voice calls me,
it is so comforting yet so very distant;
I softly utter,"Mum."
Hauled up, I am suddenly bound by shambles,
that keep me to the wall, injecting into me a sedation,
they claim I have suicidal tendencies;
once again my struggling stops
and on goes the clock,
till my inner animal once again comes to life;
They know not what happens, when darkness overcomes the light.

May Almighty Allah bless and protect us, Aameen!
