The Motherless Child
A short, sad but factual poem.

She wipes her eyes,
Her heart a-beat;
Screams explode right and left,
Not so far from where she stands, a child cries -
He cries for his mama,
  (The lady by the door with desolate stare)
Does he know?
Of course, he does;
They all know they are born
to see their mother die.
