Final words for Tracy
Today the birth, times and graduation of Tracy we celebrate. In his broken humanity he counted himself as one of the needy. He once told me after his allotted time he hoped to tread among the great He was a man seeking to know himself through God's word He had moved from abject poverty of soul-that's true-I knew him in those days He attributed all of his growth to "applying to himself the word of God he had heard" He considered each human, himself too- as a small child in God's sight Who was he to throw as much as a pebble at a child to remove a splinter when a beam in his own eye caused him to do wrong not right Four sons his blood runs through and an infant daughter who in 1990 preceded her father Teenage boys can't see- he did all for them he could do A mother and Father to grieve he leaves. The order of things amiss; why ask why? Tracy would say "Be joyful, I am now-no aches, no pains. Let God do as he pleases, rejoice for me-please." Tracy told me not long ago-for he knew his time was near "Share these words with those who come to celebrate" Now Tracy's words for you to hear "I have done wrong in my days-Deeds I did commit Chances to do right-Deeds I did omit I needed forgiveness for all my wrongs But this world left me cold and alone I searched in his Holy Bible I found Jesus Christ would forgive my every libel From eternity these lips speak for me My prayer is- What I witnessed you too will see. Jesus Christ risen through all eternity and under his wings-protection for you and me
