Hush, please hush!
Darling don't cry. Let me hold you, sing a lullaby. Clutch you close, hide you from Death. Protect your life with my every breath. Whisper truths for you to know. My life's been hard but your's won't be so. Our best plans are not perfect. So stay still Love and be my secret. Life will not educate you. Its irony won't deceive you too. Up. Up. Up. A bird so high. Gaze at the clouds where the angels lie. Mommy's there, her halo bright, her wings dusted with meteorite. Now She's stopped afore pearled doors, and beckons you onto Heaven's shores. Soon's the time for you to fly and touch the Sun as you're passing by. I've been blessed, Darling infant, to feel your heart, see your Soul's ascent. Hush, please hush! I start to cry and hold you close as I watch you die.
