WATCHING THE SEA
I seem to have a special Affinity for sea. Simply sitting by its side Always makes me carefree. In the morning when the ball Of golden fire ascends To distant waters, it a Colourful aura lends. Noon-time when the sun is high And scorching is beach sand, Wallowing among the waves Is such a cool errand. As sun dips down in the sea And night tides chase the moon, Music of the waves lulls me Into revery soon. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 syllabic format M C Gupta 16 July 2007
