From The Depths of the Soul
He lay next to me, our bodies touching Wrapped in the bonds of love We moved ever so close And for one single, solitary moment we were one As he reached over to kiss me our lips met as though they were warm summer breezes gently brushing on the morning dew Slowly hesitation filled the room as an innocent thought entered “Is it love or just the simple complexity of dream?” It’s love, it had to be A love so perfect, so sweet and glorious that it would never die As morning approaches, I lay there staring at the almost mesmerizing depth of the ceiling above I reached over to find him And he was gone… Where was my handsome lover? What would ever I do without him? Could it be that it was only a dream I wanted to hang on, but nothing lasts forever I opened my eyes and now he is lost to me Somewhere in the eternal night.
