Tears streaming
Poem written about my grandfather

Tears streaming,
Words being said…
I’m not sure what
I’m believing in.

Things you said,
They echo in my mind.
My heart still has bruises
From what you left behind.

Foot prints in the sand,
Promising never ending land.
Perfect place for the memories
To return, In my mind your still here.

Reality returns…
Looking up at your grave stone,
Standing above a casket
Which holds the perfect Grandfather.

More tears fall,
Your face appears.
It’s days like these…
That make me miss you most.
