Vegas, The Final Frontier

I've crossed the vast expanse of time
to taste of sin's future delights,
beyond the lightless days of space
to darkless skies of Vegas nights.

It's here where untold tales reside
and right and wrong have battled wills,
where many fools have gone before
while boldly seeking out new thrills.

This planet stirs the hungers of
creatures and beasts the galaxy wide;
from Humans and their Vulcan friends,
to androids and galactic guides.

At Quark's nightclub, I tipped a few
while toasting Kirk and Elvis too.
Now Romulan ale corrupts my veins
as Spock arrives, one brow askew.

He leads me 'neath a sparkling sky
and holds my head with a gentle grip.
"I'd like to share my world with you",
he says, aligning fingertips.

With rise and fall of breath in sync,
as one, our minds meld unconstrained.
Within me, shadows melt to light
as Spock's powers ignite my brain.

Then like a nova, my mind explodes
and wavers down, enlightened.
Oh my, the things I see and feel
with all my senses heightened.

                   *Star*    *Star*

Alone, I wake. My mind lay bare.
I wonder, was it all a dream?
Then I find this suspicious note:
Take heed, this galaxy does deem —
what happens here on planet Vegas,
STAYS right here on planet Vegas.
