working late last night;
logging in at 10:00 pm.
I was busy writing
a free verse.

I was writing away,
trying to beat the deadline
on the Crazy Insane Mega Contest.
Figured I'd check to see
if my competition
was hard at it too.
Maybe you were in here,
but I couldn't find you.

who know that
writing is an endless;
sometimes thankless job
that's got to be done.
I know it too,
And I'm damned glad
to be one of them!

I couldn't find you.
You could have been anywhere.
There's so much to do;
reading, writing, reviewing,
surveys, polls, quizzes, campfires,
interactives, forums, madlibs,
word searches, and crosswords.
It would have taken
a hound dog
to find you.

They always lend
a helping hand
whenever I'm in doubt.
Anyways,
I figured they
wouldn't stop you
from entering the contest too.
So, I gave up
My job was done.
One minute to midnight
my partner- Muse
and I logged out.
