Kitty's Big Problem

This story is based on the Kitty Pryde of the mid to late 2000s. The current X-Men roster is Cyclops, Beast, Wolverine, Colossus, Shadowcat (Including Lockheed) and Emma Frost. It is based on the Astonishing X-Men series written by Joss Whedon (Creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel)

Chapter 1 A Perfect Day

In the X-Mansion it was a pleasant summer's day. The sun was shining and a lot of the students were enjoying it in the fields. They played several games including baseball, soccer, tennis and basketball. But there was a group of students who were stuck inside the school.
This class was in computing. Their teacher Miss Kitty Pryde hadn't finished their lesson yet. Most of them wanted to go outside and play with the others. But the school wasn't just to teach them about their powers. The school also provided real qualifications like any normal school. But for these students every minute felt like an hour.
"Ok guys I think we've had enough of the computers for one day," said Kitty. "Class dismissed." The students cheered as they left but she kept three students behind. They had been messing around in the class and she had noticed this. "Now can you please tell me what you were doing in the class today?"
The students were trying to think about what they were going to say next. They had to choose their words carefully. They knew that Kitty was a lot more intelligent then they were.
"We were filling in databases on the computer," said one student.
"What information did you put in them?" replied Kitty.
"It was about the children's library."
"Hmm very good but there's one problem with that. The Children's Library database and spreadsheet was last month. Face it you guys weren't paying attention again."
"Yes Miss Pryde," replied the Students.
"You were playing games again weren't you?"
"Yes Miss Pryde."
"Guys you can't just waste this class. Computers are becoming more and more involved in everyday life. If you don't know how to properly use them then you might get into some trouble later in life. Now go and I expect you to pay attention n the next class. Because you'll fail this class if you don't pay attention."
"Yes Miss Pryde."
The students then left and Kitty went into the kitchen where some of the other senior members of the X-Men were. She was greeted Nightcrawler a long time friend of Kitty. He gave her a cup of coffee.
"Hi Kitty how was your class today?" asked Kurt.
"It went well," replied Kitty. "But there were some students who just wasted the lesson."
"You get that all the time. In my class they didn't even pay attention. What I teach may save their lives one day."
Just then Cyclops came into the kitchen. He was in his uniform and he needed to see Kitty urgently.
"Kitty there's a situation in New York City and we really need your help on this one," said Cyclops.
"Well my next class isn't for a few hours. Sure I'll do it."
"Good meet the rest of us in the Hangar as soon as possible."
Cyclops then left the kitchen and soon Kitty did also. She went down to the locker area and she put on her X-Costume. When she was sure that everything was on alright she went down to the hangar where the other members of the Astonishing X-Men were. She was ready for the situation in New York City.

The X-Men soon reached New York. The city was in chaos. People were running for their lives from every direction. There were swarms of people running towards the X-Men and they had to get out of the way. The people didn't care what they were going into. Shadowcat phased the X-Men through the crowd and then they were in an empty street. But they couldn't see what they were running from.
"Ok team whatever's happening here must be big to cause this much trouble," said Cyclops. Then they felt the ground shake and a giant mole came up through ground. The team readied themselves. "X-Men attack."
The X-Men then started to attack this giant mole. But it was a lot tougher than they had expected. It took the team several minutes to even hurt the creature. Its strength was unbelievable. Even Colossus was having trouble with it.
Eventually the mole went back into the ground leaving a huge hole in the ground. The X-Men looked down it
"This is classic Mole-Man work," said Wolverine.
"Except this can't be the Mole-Man's work," replied Cyclops.
"Why would you say that Comrade," said Colossus.
"Because Mole-Man is currently serving time, He's more classical for giant monsters that are made out of funguses or something like that. He never actually used a mole before. Never mind a super sized one. Plus his creations always go towards the Baxter Building (Home of the Fantastic Four) but it's the other way."
"So what do you suggest we do?"
"We go down there and follow it. It's probably going back to home base."
The X-men then carefully went down to the bottom of the hole. They used Shadowcat's phasing powers to walk on air to the bottom of the hole. It was dark and she got her flashlight out and shone it. Everyone looked at her.
"Thankfully I'm the only one who brought a flashlight with us," she said.
The X-Men then walk down the tunnel and they are astonished by the sheer size of it. They still couldn't get over the size of the mole itself.
After half an hour of walking they star to hear something electrical. They also saw a light so they switched off the flashlight and walked towards it.
When they got to the light they saw a high tech lab. They saw some giant moles in laser cages and they seemed to be in pain. They also saw a man in a lab coat at a machine. He had another mole with him. He put it on the floor and he went to the controls of the machine. It was a big machine and it had a laser gun at the end. He aimed it at the mole and fired.
The X-Men then watched the tiny mole grow from normal to colossal size. It grew to the same size as the other one and the X-men were truly astonished. The X-Men knew that they had to destroy the machine before the scientist could create even more giant moles.
"Ok X-Men take out that machine," commanded Cyclops.
The X-Men then sprung into action and they ran towards the machine. But the Scientist saw them easily and he released the moles to attack them. The X-Men were soon surrounded by the giant moles. But Shadowcat could still see the machine. She had an idea. She looked over to Colossus.
"Colossus throw me towards the machine," said Kitty. "My powers will short circuit the device."
"Are you sure Katya?" replied Colossus.
"Yes I'm sure."
Colossus then picked up Kitty and he threw her towards the machine. She phased through any mole in her way and she went into the machine. But while phasing through it something was different about this device. He then felt a pain throughout her entire body. It felt like every atom in her body was on fire and she screamed with agonising pain.
But eventually she was out the other side and she was still in pain. But the machine was short circuiting and it crashed.

The next thing Kitty knew she was in the medi-lab of the X-Mansion. She saw Hank looking over her and she was a little worried. She had wires in her body and she couldn't phase.
"Ah Kitty you're awake," said Hank. "That's a good sign."
"What happened?" replied Kitty.
"Well after you phased through Doctor Eden's machine you short-circuited it and destroyed it. But out at the other end you were found unconscious. Unfortunately when you're knocked out your body automatically goes phased so that no harm comes to you. We had to use one of our mutant power dampeners."
"A what?"
"A mutant power dampener. I created it to block out mutant powers with anyone who is in close contact or actually touching it. I created them in emergencies like if a mutant lost control if his or her powers. Or even in your case."
"Am I alright?"
"How do you feel?"
"I feel a little numb but that's about it."
"Well your body seems to be in tact. I can't find any permanent injuries. But I must admit you'll have to take it easy for the next few days. Don't go on any missions or training. Take plenty of rest and you should feel better in a few days."
"Ok now can we take these things out of my body?"
Hank then began to remove the wires from Kitty's body. She then got out of bed and put on a gown. He thanked Hank for his help but she noticed something strange about him. He seemed to be a little shorter.
Kitty didn't think much of it and she went to her room. It was already late and like Hank said she needed her rest. Lockheed was in her room waiting for her. When he saw her he flew right into her arms.
"Lockheed," said Kitty. "How's my special dragon?" He responded positively. "Good but unfortunately mommy has to have some rest. Doctor's orders."
Lockheed looked at Kitty disappointingly. But he then flew to her bed and he pulled the covers. She smiled and took off her gown. Hank had already changed her into some night clothes so all she had to do was lay in the bed.
"Thank you Lockheed. You're a very thoughtful dragon." She then hugged the dragon and gave him a kiss. "Mommy loves you." Lockheed then got one of Kitty's books and gave it to her. "Thank you."
She then began to read the book and she enjoyed it. But after half an hour she started to feel tired. She put a bookmark in the book and then she put it away. She then went to bed and Lockheed went to the end of her bed. He then fell asleep at the end of the bed like a cat would.
But through the night Kitty's body started to change a little. She didn't feel it. Although this change was small now it would prove to be extremely important later on. She slept oblivious to the change.
The next morning Kitty woke up and she was greeted by Lockheed. He licked her face and he flew onto her shoulder.
"How's my favourite dragon today?" asked Kitty. She then stroked Lockheed. "We'll get some breakfast after I've gotten washed and changed.
She then went to the bathroom and she got washed and she brushed her teeth. She put on a bra and panties and then she went to her closet to put some clothes on. But when she went to put one of her T-shirts on it wouldn't fit. So she tried another one and it was the same. She had to put on a t-shirt that normally was too big for her. But it fit quite well. The sign on the t-shirt said "I'm too big for this body". But now it was a perfect fit. She could only find a mini skirt to wear that seemed shorter and a pair of old flip flops.
"We really need to change what we wash our clothes with," said Kitty. "They all shrinking."

Kitty then left her room and Lockheed flew the other way. She went down to the kitchne to get herself some breakfast. But on the way she saw Cyclops. He looked at her a little weird.
"Kitty is that really appropriate clothing?" he asked. "You're teaching a class in twenty minutes."
"Well they were the only clothes that fit me," replied Kitty. "All my others have shrunk in the wash."
"Strange mine didn't shrink in the wash."
"Well maybe yours are made out of something different then mine."
"Maybe if your clothes have shrunk then the school will give you money to get some more clothes."
"Thanks Scott."
Kitty then sat down to have some breakfast. She made herself some pancakes. She ate what she normally ate but she was still feeling hungry. So she had some seconds.
"I better not eat anymore or else I'll become like the Blob."
Kitty then stood up and started to walk to her classroom. But one the way she walked past Rogue. But what seemed to be weird was that they seemed to be normal height. Kitty had always remembered Rogue being at least 2 inches taller than her. She just put this in the back of her mind and she continued to walk to her classroom.
When Kitty got there her class was already inside. They were talking to one another and then they saw Kitty come in. Most of the boys couldn't stop looking at her legs since they she was wearing a mini skirt.
"Ok class first of all if you're wondering why I'm wearing these clothes my others shrank in the wash and these were all I had," said Kitty. "Second of all we still need to finish that Currency converter. I expect that to be finished this time next week. If you need my help out of lesson just find me and I'll help you."
The class then began to get on with the work. Kitty walked around to help people on their projects. Some people were doing very well. More so than others. But she didn't lose hope on anyone. She believed that everyone could pass this course.
But throughout the lesson it seemed that her t-shirt was getting tighter. She could feel it and this time she knew that it couldn't be shrinking in the wash. Her skirt seemed to be a little shorter and her toes were going off the edge of the flip flops.
Kitty was relieved when the class was over. She had a free period so she went back to her room. Lockheed was also there and he flew onto her shoulders and stroked his head on her.
"Ok Lockheed I need your help on something," said Kitty. She then got out the tape measure. "I need you to measure my height."
Lockheed then grabbed the measuring tape and flew to Kitty's feet. She took off her flip flops so she was barefoot on the ground. She put the bottom of the measuring tape under her food and Lockheed flew up to the very top of her head. He then pushed the button down to keep the tape measure where it was. Kitty then took a look at the results. They horrified her.
"Oh my God I'm 5'9," said Kitty. She started to panic a little. "Adults don't grow 3 inches in one day. That's impossible."
She then ran down to Hank's lab. He was there working on a new upgrade for the X-Jet. He saw her come and he smiled.
"Hello Kitty," he said. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah everything's fine except I'm three inches taller than yesterday."

Chapter 2 Growing Pains

"That's preposterous Kitty you couldn't have simply grown," said Hank.
"Measure me if you want," replied Kitty. "My last physical when I rejoined the X-Men said I was 5'6. But I just measured myself a few minutes ago and I was 5'9."
"Ok then Kitty I'll measure you. But if you're still 5'6 I think you should take some time off."
Hank then took Kitty to where he performed the physicals on X-Men and any new students. He had files on Kitty's last physical. It told him that she was 5'6 and weighed about 120lbs. He didn't expect Kitty's to be any different. Although it had been a good nine months she had surely stopped growing.
"Ok Kitty I just need you to stand over there by the measuring poll," said Hank. "Then we can see if you're telling the truth or just imagining things."
"Hank I'm not the type to imagine things," replied Kitty.
"I know that but I need to be certain."
He then measured Kitty's height. He expected it to be her normal 5'6. But when the results came through it said that she was 5'91/2. He gulped and he looked over at Kitty. She still didn't know the results.
"Well Kitty you were wrong you're not 5'9."
"I swear I am I'm not making it up."
"I know you're not. Because you're 5'91/2."
This was like a mountain had fallen on Kitty. "Oh my God I've grown an extra ½ an inch."
"Now don't panic Kitty I'm sure that there's a perfectly good explanation for this."
"There is I'm growing."
"I think I need to perform more tests. I think you should get someone to cover your classes today. We might be here for a while."
He then instructed Kitty to go and lie on a bed. He got a machine that did some X-Rays of her. The bones seemed to be perfectly normal except a little bigger than they should have been. No bone was thickened or lengthened out of proportion. But while he was doing all this Kitty grew half an inch taller. Now she was the average height of a man. She was down a little.
Upstairs we see Forge in Kitty's classroom. He was about to teach the students but he had to tell them something first.
"I'm afraid Miss Pryde won't be able to make the lesson today," said Forge. "So for today I'm teaching you. My name is Forge and can you tell me where you have gotten to with Miss Pryde."
"What's wrong with Miss Pryde we saw her earlier?" replied one Student.
"She's just having some medical treatment. She should be fine by tomorrow."
Back in Hank's lab he was still doing tests on Kitty. Her body had some abnormal radiation in it. He figured that this was causing her growth. But he had no idea what type of radiation it was or it's origin. If he tried to cure it without the right information and data he might do more harm then good.
Kitty herself was getting more uncomfortable in her clothes. They were getting tight on her and she wanted to take them off. Hank gave her some clothes that patients wore. there was plenty of growing room in them so she was relatively happy.
Hank also tested her strength. To his astonishment she was lifting twice what she would normally be able to lift. Kitty was making the weights fully solid so she wasn't using her powers.
"Hmm very intriguing," said Hank.
"Please Hank tell me if there's anything you can do to help me."

"Well Kitty right now there's nothing I can do to stop your growth or even slow it down," said Hank. "But what I can advise you to do is to put your X-Costume. The unstable molecules in your costume should make it grow with you."
"Well if I put that on I won't have to worry about going around the mansion naked," replied Kitty.
"Also Kitty I'm going to inform Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Dr Strange and Hank Pym. Hopefully they can help m come up with a cure."
"What do you want me to do now?"
"Well go around and do your normal things. But I want you to come to my lab every hour on the hour to be measured and weighed. With that data I can see how fast you're growth."
"Thanks Hank."
Kitty then gave Hank a big hug. Then she went back to the normal level. Lockheed soon flew onto her shoulder and she stroked his head.
"Well Lockheed looks like Mommy's growing again. Hopefully I don't get too big. I don't fancy becoming the next Statue of Liberty." Then Kitty saw a few of her students. They went over to her to see how she was. They were the three students who weren't paying attention yesterday.
"Hi Miss Pryde we need some help with our work," said One of the students.
"Yeah we're finding it really hard," replied another student.
Then they looked at Kitty a little more. They remember her being a little on the short side. But now she was at eye level with them.
"Miss Pryde are you wearing high heels?" asked the one student. He then looked and saw her in flats. "Wow you're taller. Is it some kind of new mutant power?"
"No it's not," replied Kitty. "I'm growing and I think it was from yesterday. But I don't want you to panic. Just meet me in the computer room in 10 minutes and I'll help you out."
"Ok Miss Pryde," said the Three students.
They then walked away and Kitty started to go to her room. She kept thinking about her height when she was going through doors. She was wondering when she would have to bend down to go through them. But she would just use her phasing powers to go through them.
Eventually Kitty got to her room. There she went to her closet and put her X-Costume on. It was a bit of a stretch at first. But she was able to get it on. Even though she was a good four and a half inches taller than normal.
Then she heard a knock on the door and she went to answer it. She saw that it was Peter (Colossus). He had a worried look on his face.
"Katya I have heard about your growth from Beast," he said. "I have come to see if you're alright."
"Yeah I'm fine." She looked up at him. Even with her addition height Peter still towered over her. "Hey you know soon you might be looking up at me."
"I don't really see that this is a time for joking around Katya. This could be serious."
"I know. But I've always wondered what it's like to be taller. From since I joined the X-Men I've been the shortest member. I'll probably be happy when I'm in the low 6 foot region. But I don't want to be taller than that."
"Good if you need me you know where I am."
"Don't worry about me. But now I have to help some students."
Peter then left and Kitty walked to the computer room where the three students were.

When Kitty got to the computer room she saw the students on the computers waiting for her. She walked into the room and the students looked at her. She tried to smile at them and they were a little curious.
"Miss Pryde is there something happening?" asked one Student. "You're wearing your costume."
"Well this is the only outfit that'll fit me. Also because of it's unstable molecules it grows with my body."
"How do we get one of those?"
"Well if you do your studies and get a greater grip on your mutant powers then you'll be able to join the X-Men."
"Wow really?"
"Yeah so you better get studying."
"We will do Miss Pryde."
Kitty then began to help the students. Throughout the lesson Kitty grew an additional inch. She was now 5'11 and she didn't want the boys to notice her slight increase in height.
She was thankful when the help out session was over. The three students went away to study. The thing they wanted most was to be members of the X-Men. Kitty had actually motivated them to do well.
Kitty went back to her room and she was instantly greeted by Lockheed. He flew onto her shoulders and he got himself comfy. She stroked his head and smiled at him.
"Hi Lockheed," said Kitty. "You miss Mommy didn't you." he then stroked himself onto her. "You always miss me. Even when I leave the room." Then Kitty felt a little more cheerful. "Do you want to play a game?" Lockheed then replied Cheerfully. "Well let's just see how long you can go before I catch you. Now go."
Lockheed then began to fly away from Kitty. She then started to chase after him. He flew out of her room and he started to go downstairs. Kitty followed him and she was laughing. She ran past a few people and they found it a little odd. But she was just playing with Lockheed.
Then Lockheed started to go towards a window. It was locked and Kitty knew this. She began to panic a little.
"No Lockheed not through the window," said Kitty.
But it was too late. But just before Lockheed hit the window kitty jumped at him and caught him. She then phased herself and Lockheed through the window so they wouldn't get hurt. She then looked at the small dragon in her arms.
"Ok next time we play this game don't go through a window please. I don't want to see you hurt." Lockheed grunted at her and she hugged him. "But you know Mommy loves you."
She then stood back up and went back into the Mansion. But now it was time for Kitty to go and see Hank for her routine height and weight check up. She took Lockheed down with her.
Hank went through all of the procedures. Kitty was measured and weighed. Her height was exactly 6 feet. her weight was 155 lbs and 10 oz. In the space of a day she had grown 6 inches and gained 35 lbs. This was astonishing to both Kitty and Beast.
"Wow some change," said Kitty.
"Do you feel hungry or tired?" replied Hank.
"No why?"
"Well to be growing at the rate you're growing your body should be after food at an unprecedented rate to get the energy needed for your growth.

"What does that mean?" asked Kitty.
"Well it's either one of two things," replied Hank. "Number one is that your growth is somehow taking less energy out of you. Or number two is that you are obtaining energy from another source."
"Like what I'm not eating or drinking anything special."
"No I mean your body could be absorbing something like solar energy or something like that." He then got a needle out. "If you don't mind I need to take a blood sample."
"Ok but don't take too much."
Kitty then rolled up her sleeve and Hank took a blood sample. He saw that it had hurt Kitty a little and he put a plaster on it.
"I guess I'm too old to have a lollipop?" asked Kitty.
"I would give you it but I gave it to the last kid," replied hank.
They both laughed a little but then the alarm went off. That meant that the team was needed.
"We never get a day off."
"Racism doesn't take a day off Katherine. We better go."
Kitty and Hank both go back upstairs. The team was waiting for them. Everyone was amazed by how much Kitty had grown in the day.
"Ok what is it this time because I don't want it to be giant moles like last time," said Kitty.
"No Kitty it isn't," replied Cyclops. "This time we've got an anti mutant riot in New York. The police are overwhelmed and the Fantastic Four aren't even on the planet. So we're going to deal with it."
"Why can't we have an attack of bunny rabbits? That would be a lot easier."
"Now is not the time for joking Kitty," snapped Emma. "This could escalate to become something even worse."
"Well I can't see it getting worse then a full blown riot."
The X-Men then got onto the X-Jet and started their second trip to New York in two days.
But at the scene there was an armored individual standing on a building looking down at the riot. His amour mimicked that of Jango Fett from the Star Wars films. He was seeing through heat vision.
"Hmm looks like a few hundred are down there," he said to himself. "Let the world know the existence of Hysteria."
He then flew down to the ground and shot one of his guns into the air he hoped that it would calm the rioters down. But it was to no avail. But then he saw the X-Jet above him.
"Wow it's the X-Men. I don't believe it."
He then saw them land and the X-Men got off the jet. Cyclops was giving the X-Men the tactic to subdue the crowd without hurting them. They put their plan into action. He saw Beast run past him and he tried to introduce himself but Beast ignored him.
"Hello can anyone bloody see me?" he asked.
The Shadowcat (Kitty) looked at him. "What are you doing here it's too dangerous."
"Wait which X-Man are you?"
"I'm Shadowcat."
"Wow the cameras make you look shorter."
"Don't get me started with that."

Chapter 3: The Mutant Named Hysteria

"Can I help in any way?" asked Hysteria.
"Just get out of here to safety," replied Kitty. "We can handle this."
Kitty then ran past him as Hysteria looked on. He couldn't stop thinking about how much shorter she looked on the news or in the papers. He thought that he had just been looking at her the wrong way.
The X-Men then gathered around the rioters. They saw red when they saw the mutants.
"Hey it's those freaks get them!" shouted one of the Rioters.
The rioters then lurched forwards at the X-Men. Beast jumped out of the way, Colossus converted to organic steel and they just bounced off him. Shadowcat phased through them, Wolverine then popped out his claws and the rioters backed away. Emma Frost used her mind powers to make them go home and rethink their lives. But Cyclops used his optic blasts to make a huge hole between him and the rioters.
But now the X-Men had to disperse the rioters. There was too many to fight and they didn't want to hurt them no matter how racist they were. That was until they saw Hysteria flying up into the air.
"What the hell is he doing?" asked Cyclops.
"I have no idea," replied Beast.
Hysteria then got out one of his grenades and he threw it down to the riot. At first the X-men thought that it was explosive but instead it was a knock out gas. The rioters coughed before they fell unconscious. The X-Men moved away from the gas and Hysteria flew down to the ground.
"There ya go," he said. "That's how you contain a riot."
"What the hell did you do that for?" replied Cyclops.
"Hey it stopped them without hurting them so I think we won."
"What do you mean we?"
"Yeah I want to join you. I like you am a mutant."
"What can you do?"
"It's a little embarrassing really. But I assure you that I'm a mutant." He then took off his helmet. He had short blue hair and a little growing blue beard. "I've got the hair and believe me this isn't dye."
"Hmm he seems to be telling the truth," replied Emma frost. "I can't sense anything that'll lead us to a lie."
"Ok then we'll take you back to the mansion," said Cyclops. "But what exactly is your mutant power?"
"Well it isn't important," replied Hysteria. "This suit protects me."
The X-Men then got into the jet with Hysteria and they flew away. they saw police rounding up the rioters and they were taken away. Hysteria was fortunate enough to get a seat next to Shadowcat. He was really curious.
"So how do you make yourself smaller on the camera?" he asked. "Is it some kind of secondary mutation?"
"No there was an accident yesterday and now I'm growing," replied Kitty.
"Wow that's cool. What's it like at the Mansion?"
"Well it's like a school and home rolled into one. I little like boarding school but better."
"That sounds good. I can't believe I'm actually with the X-Men. This is even better than the time when Spider-Man defeated Mysterio."
Now we go to a cut scene. Mysterio is taunting at Spider-Man. Then Spider-Man just punched him and he falls unconscious. (Like in the Spider-Man 2 game)

Eventually the X-Men land back at the mansion. They walk off the jet and go inside for a much deserved drink. Hysteria was asked to go into a special room where they took in new students. First he had to give them all of his weapons. This included his pistols, jet pack, three different types of grenades, two types of darts, sniper gun, rocket launcher, jet pack rockets, his helmet and some strong wire. Beast just looked at them.
"You appear to have more weaponry then some small countries," he said.
"Well I did create them all myself," replied Hysteria.
"Amazing that someone your age can create all this. But right now I need a background check. What's your name?"
"My name is John Idle."
"Do you still live with your parents?"
"No I was an exchange student and they simple left me here."
"Where are you from?"
"I was born in Staffordshire England."
"Ok then if you would like to talk to Mr Summers he'll go through your enrollment."
Beast then walked away and went down to his lab. Kitty was there waiting for him. It was time to do her height and weight in. She was a little nervous.
"Ok Kitty you're 6'2 and you weigh 185 pounds," said Beast. "So from this yesterday you've gained 8 inches and 65lbs."
"Great I'm beyond my ideal height and I'm still growing," replied Kitty. "Hank please tell me that you've got something that can help me."
"Well unfortunate for the time being I don't. But with Hysteria here he might be able to help me."
"You mean the guy who we picked up today?"
"Yes all the technology he had with him he created himself. He will be an asset to my research in finding a cure."
"That makes me feel better." She then began to walk back up stairs. "well Hank I may as well go outside and practice my basketball skills. IF I stay tall then I could get a career in the WNBA."
Kitty went upstairs and onto the basketball court outside. She had a ball with her and she started to throw it at the basket but she couldn't get it in. Then she saw Hysteria walk up to her. He was wearing casual clothes.
"Having trouble there Miss Pryde?" he asked.
"Yeah I can't get it into the basket," replied Kitty.
"Well if you aim for the line on the box then you should get it in."
Kitty then aimed for the line on the box. She then shot and it went through the basket she was impressed. "Wow you're a good teacher. Are you any good at basketball?"
"Well I use to play when I was younger. But I wasn't all that good."
"Come on fancy a game of one on one?"
"Ok."
The two began to play one on one basketball. Kitty had the height advantage but John had some speed on him. He sidestepped her and scored a basket. She then got the ball back and she was able to score one past him.
"Ok one a piece let's make this more interesting," said John.
"What did you have in mind?" replied Kitty.
"Whoever loses has give the loser a chocolate bar."
"You're on."

Kitty started off with the ball. John made it tough to go around her. She could simply phase through him. But she knew that was cheating. Besides she had more then enough skill to go around him herself.
She was able to get around him and she shot. She was able to get into the basket and she raised her long arms in celebration.
"Yes," said Kitty. "Game to the teacher."
"You got lucky this time Miss Pryde," replied John in an evil voice. "But I will have my revenge." He then paused for a moment and then he began to laugh. "Nah I'm just pulling your leg."
"Now you owe me a candy bar."
"Which did you have in mind?"
"Oh I'll tell you when I'm ready."
Kitty then went inside as John played a little more. Lockheed flew around her and landed on her shoulder. She stroked his head a little and she smiled. She was always happier when Lockheed was around.
"There you are Lockheed," said Kitty. "Where have you been?" He then responded with a positive growl. "Oh you like that don't you. Well Mommy's gonna give you some Candy in a minute."
Lockheed began to rub himself on Kitty's neck. She just stroked him and she walked to her next class. She tried to put her growth in the back of her mind and she just went into the room.
Meanwhile Beast had asked John (Hysteria) to come to the lab. He wanted his help in trying to cure for Kitty. John was impressed with all of the different things Hank had in his lab he began to look around. He saw something that caught his eye.
"Wow what's this?" he asked.
"That is a transporter," replied hank. "I've been building it for months. But it can only go about 500 metres."
"I could probably strengthen this thing up. Heck I could probably go from here to like Mars or something."
"How can you possible do that? I've been trying for months and I haven't got anywhere near that far. Oh never mind back to business I took a sample of Kitty's blood earlier but there's a problem with it."
"What's wrong with it?"
"Well it's noticeably bigger then when I first took it."
"But that's not what concerns you."
"No Kitty can't keep growing forever. Ultimately her body won't support itself and her skeleton will crumble. People who are excessively tall suffer from bone disorders and other diseases. I know kitty's going to be a lot bigger before we can find a cure."
"So it's a matter of life or death."
"It's not only her skeleton I worried about but also her heart. It won't be pump enough blood around her body and it might give her a heart attack."
"Great that's something else to be worried about."
"And there's just one last thing. Stopping her growth and shrinking her are two entirely different things. She might be stuck at a giant-size for a while."
"Have you told Kitty?"
"No I'm hoping I can make progress. Hopefully the cure will be done in a few weeks. But I'm not too sure how tall Kitty will be by then."

Meanwhile Kitty had to go to her classroom. She noticed that the door frame seemed lower then normal. She could still walk under it without having to bend down. But she knew that soon she'd have to phase through the top.
But when she got inside she could hear the students talking amongst each other. She caught a few words about her height and she just tried to put it in the back of her mind. She tried to put on a smile as well.
"Ok class has everyone done what I've asked them?" asked Kitty.
"Yes," replied the Class.
"Good because you know I'm not having slackers in my class." Kitty then went to a computer. It was connected to a projector and she brought up a PowerPoint presentation about the subject they were about to begin with. "Ok let's go through data mining."
Kitty started to go through the presentation. The students were writing down notes about it. She explained it thoroughly. She then made sure that each student was on the right track.
The time went quickly and it was soon the end of the day (School wise). Everyone left the classroom. Kitty stood up and went to leave the room. But she wasn't really looking where she was going and she hit her head on top of the door frame. it was more shock then it hurt but she rubbed her head. She looked at the door frame.
"It wasn't that low when I came in," thought Kitty. "No it isn't lower. I just grew taller. Oh my God I can't be growing that fast? Can I?"
Kitty began to panic a little she went back down to Hank's lab. She saw him working with hysteria and they both saw her. They noticed that she was taller.
"Are you alright Kitty?" asked Hank.
"No I'm not alright," replied Kitty. "I've grown several inches in just over an hour."
"Ok let's see."
Kitty then went to where she was measured and weighed. He went through everything and john looked over his shoulder.
"This is interesting," said Hank.
"What is it?" replied Kitty.
"Well from this it says that you're 6'6 and 217 pounds."
"Oh my God in a few hours I've grown 3 inches. It's getting faster."
"Please Kitty the last thing you have to do is get stressed about it."
"I can't not stress about it. How would you feel if you started growing faster then anyone who's super power isn't changing size?"
"Kitty you of all people should know about size changing. You were shrunk when you were Ariel (See X-Men and the Micronuats #1-4 1984)."
"That was different."
"And what about the Cross Time Caper with Excalibur? You height was boosted on your first stop (Excalibur #13 1989)."
"That was three inches at the most. I've grown almost a foot in 24 hours. Please just tell me that you're making some progress."
"Well my new friend Hysteria and I have been working on something that'll help."
"What is it?"
"Well if you feel any strains on your body we can give you something that'll help it cope. Have you felt any strains yet?"
"No not yet."
"Good. But afraid later on you will feel some strains. It's normal for when somebody reaches a certain height."
"How tall will I have to be before I start getting problems?"

Hank took another sample of Kitty's blood and he did a thorough analysis of it. And to his horror he found out that kitty was growing faster. It wasn't too much faster but it did have cause for concern. He estimated her to be over 7 feet tall by tomorrow morning.
That night Kitty was preparing to go to bed. She had grown a few more inches and she was trying to put some night clothes on. But they were all way too small for her. It was like putting on clothes for children. She threw them to one side in rage and she started to fume.
"Why does this have to happen to me?" asked Kitty. "It's never fair." She punched her wall and she made a huge crack in it. She stared at it and looked at her hands. She couldn't believe that she had to strength to do that to the wall. But then she felt pain in her hand. She realised that it was broken. And she held it in agony. "CRAP!"
She went down to the medi-lab and treated her hand. But she saw Hysteria down there doing some work on Hank's teleporting machine. She was surprised to see him down there.
"What are you doing down here?" asked Kitty.
"Oh just doing some work," replied Hysteria.
"Shouldn't you be going to bed now?"
"Well that's the thing I don't."
"What you're a workaholic?"
"No this is my mutant power. I don't sleep."
"Wow that's surprising."
"I know it's kinda crap compared to the other powers. Heck even your powers are better then mine. No offence."
"None taken."
"What are you doing down here anyway?"
"I punched a wall and broke my hand."
"Wish I could help but I don't know anything medical. I'm a man of mechanics."
"It's alright I've done it myself."
"Are you alright?"
"My hand'll be fine. My body I don't know."
"Don't worry Hank will come up with something. He always does. Or so I've heard. I'm just wondering have you felt different with your growth?"
"Yeah I need to sit down a lot more. I can't stand up for very long."
"Ok that's not too good."
"What are you talking about?"
"Well your skeleton's supporting extra mass that it isn't use to. Tall and heavy people often have difficulties."
"I thought you didn't know anything medical?"
"I watch a lot of tele. Well I'll tell Hank you were down here and I'll see you in the morning."
"Ok goodnight."
Kitty then left the medi-lab and went back up to her room. She lay down on her bed but her feet were dangling at the end of the bed. She was still very annoyed about this but she just bottled it up.
But then Lockheed flew to her. He landed right next to her and he made himself comfy and she stroked him.
"You always make mommy feel better."

The next morning Kitty woke up a little later then usual. She hadn't noticed how much her feet were dangling off the bed. She was greeted by Lockheed as she sat up. He licked her and she stroked him on the head.
"Good Morning Lockheed," she said. "Let mommy get out of bed before we get breakfast."
She then put her large feet on the floor and she slowly stood up. But when she reached her full height her head hit something. This caused her some pain and she crouched down a little and rubbed her head.
"What the hell was that?" asked Kitty. She then looked up and saw nothing except the ceiling. But that was practically centimetres away from her head. She checked by standing upright and her head did hit the ceiling. "Oh my God my head touches the ceiling!"
She screamed and it almost woke everyone up in the mansion, she tried to calm herself down but the she saw herself in the mirror. The PJs she had put on were close to breaking point. They were too small to take off her body without ripping them.
"Great these were my favourite PJs." She had no choice but to rip them off her body and go into the bathroom. She got washed and she put her X-Costume on since it was the only clothes that actually fitted her.
When she was finished she had to phase to get through the door and she was out in the corridor. She saw a few students and they looked up at her. They seemed to be like little children to her.
She quickly went down to Hank's lab where he was still in the lab trying to find a cure for Kitty. But he was surprised to see her in and he was overwhelmed by her height. John was also there and he looked up at the giant Kitty.
"Hank I'm even taller," said Kitty. "Please tell me you have something that'll help me."
"Well for starters we should measure you," replied Hank. "I can make more accurate guesses that way."
Kitty then went to where she was measured but to her shock she was too tall to be measured by the poll. Instead Hank had to go on a ladder with an additional ruler and measure her that way.
"So how tall am I?" asked Kitty.
"Well you're 8'1," replied Beast. "If you grew another inch you'd be the tallest woman who ever lived. Well besides Wasp and Stature."
"I don't care about that."
Hank went to his computers to get her weight. She was an astonishing 380lbs in weight. This surprised even him.
"Please don't tell me how much I weigh it'll only make me feel even worse."
John got back to work on Hank's teleporter. He had been modifying it all night and now he thought it was perfect. But now he had to test it. He got an apple and he went to open the teleporter gate. But he had accidentally made the portal too big and now it was sucking everything in.
Unfortunately John was the first to get sucked in but it was also affecting Kitty and Hank. Kitty went intangible but it didn't do any good she was still being sucked into the vortex. Hank held onto the wall for dear life but Kitty couldn't get a grip on anything she tried to fight the pull but even at her size it was too strong for her to break.
Eventually she was also sucked into vortex. It overloaded due to her size and it shut down.

Chapter 4 A new Planet

Hank looked at the machine. He saw it short circuit and then it shut itself down. He went over to it to get it working again. But he couldn't do it. He couldn't even get a location to where they had been teleported to.
A little later in Cerebro Emma Frost was scanning the planet for any sign of the two mutants. But she also found nothing. She eventually went back to the other X-Men.
"I couldn't find them," said Emma Frost.
"But I thought you could find anyone with Cerebro," replied Ice-Man.
"Well I've searched every brain pattern on the planet and there was nothing."
"What does that mean?" asked Cyclops.
"It means either something's cloaking them. Or they're not even on the planet."
Meanwhile many billions of miles away in a distant part of the galaxy the portal opened and Hysteria fell out. He hit the ground hard. But then Kitty also came out and she landed on top of him. She was heavy and it was causing him some pain.
"Where are we?" asked Kitty.
"I'll have a look when you get off me," replied Hysteria.
"Oh sorry." She then rolled off him and he got up. But she was having some difficulties. "You wouldn't mind helping me up?"
Hysteria then helped Kitty up to her feet. She struggled but she was glad to be able to stand up. But she was a good 2 feet taller then him. He was about 6'1 so she thought that she had to be 8'2 or something like that.
"Ok now I'm up but I still don't know where we are," said Kitty.
"Hang on let me check," replied Hysteria. He then looked at a screen on his arm. He typed a few things in and it came up with unknown. "Funny my computers don't know where we are."
"This is great we're lost."
"Oh we're not lost. We just don't know where we are."
"That's the same thing!"
She then seemed out of breath. She had to sit down because it felt like her body was weighing a ton. Hysteria went to her aid. He checked her heart rate. It was a lot higher then it should have been.
"Are you alright Kitty?"
"I'm fine but I think Hank was right. My body isn't coping with my size. If I get any bigger it'll collapse on me."
"Don't think like that. I'm here to help you."
"What can you do? You don't have anything useful!" She then gave out a huff. "Sorry I'm just a little edgy."
"That's understandable. But right now I need you to stand up for me by yourself."
"Ok I'll try."
Kitty then slowly rose to her feet. She was still in some pain but she was able to do it.
"Good now take a few steps."
Kitty then took a few steps. They were a little difficult for her. She kept going and she was happy to see herself actually moving. "That's at least something."
"Now let's see if there's anything around here."
Hysteria then flew up into the air and scanned the area. He picked up what seemed to be a settlement. He landed back on the ground and looked at Kitty.
"So is there anything?" she asked.
"Well there seems to be a town."

"So there does seem to be some intelligent life here," said Kitty. "Hopefully they can tell us where we are."
The pair begin to walk towards the town. Hysteria pointed out the way. But half way there Kitty was noticeable getting tired. She was struggling to get air at some points and he had to stop her.
"Are you alright Kitty?" he asked.
"I'm fine John. I just need to catch my breath."
"I could fly you there."
"No I'm perfectly capable of walking."
Kitty walked on and John watched her. He could see that her increased size was putting a strain on her body. He was able to see that her heart rate was above what it should have been. He was worried and he hoped that this walk wouldn't do her that much harm.
Eventually they got to the town. Everything seemed to be normal size. But obviously Kitty was a lot taller then normal. The natives there seemed to be humanoid in appearance. But they definitely weren't human. They had two huge eyes and a small mouth. They had different colours. Some were green, some were orange and some were brown.
Their presence in this town hadn't gone unnoticed. The pair were constantly being stared at. Although Hysteria's suit could translate almost any language. It was only Earth languages not one's from other planets.
"What are they saying?" asked Kitty.
"I'd be lying if I said I knew," replied John. "But it looks like our presences has gotten them a little on edge."
"Do you think any of them can help us?"
"Halt alien!" said a Voice.
They both turn around and see a few guards pointing guns at them. but what got Kitty and John was that they were speaking English.
"Please we need your help," said Kitty.
"What are you doing here?"
"We're lost and we need help getting home."
"Come with us."
The pair followed the guards. Hysteria kept a hand on his blasters just in case the guards tried anything. But the last thing they wanted was to be fugitives here.
Eventually they came to a hut. John was able to walk through it normally btu Kitty had to bend down to get through. She thought about phasing herself through it but she didn't want to spook the locals. But when she stood up straight her head still hit the ceiling. She rubbed her head in some pain.
"Even here they have low ceilings," said Kitty. Then she saw another one of these aliens. He seemed to be older then the others and he walked up to John first. He took off his helmet and put something in his ear. He then tried to do Kitty but she was too high for him. She instinctively bent down for him and he put it into her ear. "What's this?"
Then the elderly alien began to speak. At first it was in the alien language. But it slowly began to come through in English.
"These are Universal Translators," said the Elderly Alien. "There will help us communicate better."
"Where are we?" asked Kitty.
"We are on the planet coded LK712. Now I was just wondering are you the male or the female of your species?"
"Definitely female."

"Hmm so in your species the Females grow taller then the males?" asked the Elder Alien.
"No I'm just extremely tall for my species," replied Kitty. "And I'm still growing. Could you help me stop somehow?"
"I'm not sure we've never tried anything on your species before."
Just then a bell began to ring. This made all of the aliens panic and they went into hiding. Kitty and Hysteria both looked at each other in some confusion. They then looked at the aliens.
"What's happening?" asked Hysteria.
"Hide you fools," replied Another Alien. "Do you want to get yourself killed?"
The pair took this warning and they went somewhere to hide. They hid just below a window and they would watch what was happening outside. Kitty was able to see a band of aliens on Hover bikes. They were through bombs at the houses and some of them exploded. They just went right through the village and out the other end. They were laughing along as well.
The bell rang again and they came out of hiding. Unfortunately there had been a family in the house and they had perished. The locals mourned their deaths but that made Kitty angry. She was angry that a bunch of aliens could do that to their own kind.
"Who the hell were they?" asked Kitty.
"They are simply called The Bandits," replied the Elder Alien. "They come through here and destroy our village."We've tried everything to get rid of them but noting has worked so far."
"Well you haven't tried us yet."
"What are you talking about?"
"Let's say if we can get rid of these Bandits for you could you help us?"
"I will do whatever I can."
"How often do they come?"
"Everyday at the same time."
"Then we'll be ready for them this time tomorrow."
A little later the entire village was crowded around the pair. Kitty was an inch taller and she still felt the strain on her body. She knew that she had to sit down soon before she tired herself out.
"People from tomorrow you won't have to live your lives in fear," said Kitty.
"Thos bandits will be a thing of the past," replied Hysteria. "We will personally get rid of them for you." This made the crowd cheer. But Hysteria noticed that Kitty had gone to sit down. He went over to her. "Are you alright?"
"I don't think I'll be able to do it tomorrow."
"You can't back down now. I thought the X-Men had courage."
"I can do it mentally I mean physically. I'll be even taller by tomorrow and I'm struggling to stand up anyway. I don't think my body's going to be able to take it."
"I'm sure it will. Think of all that training you've done in dancing and martial arts."
"Unwilling practices in Martial arts." (See Kitty Pryde and Wolverine #1-6)
"But still you must have learned something."
"Yeah I did learn a thing or two that can help."
"Put those into practice tomorrow and you'll be fine."
"Thanks John."
"You're welcome." Hysteria used his helmet to scan Kitty's body he got an X-Ray of her skeleton and he saw that she really was struggling. He also used it to see through her clothes to his delight. But he soon got back to business.

As day turned to night Kitty and Hysteria were still trying to formulate a plan to defeat these bandits. Kitty was now 8'9 and she was still having difficulties walking around. John was becoming increasingly worried about her. He feared that if she didn't stop growing soon she would die from the sheer size of her body.
"Ok we need to take down these bandits," said Kitty. "But not kill them. They maybe bad people but they don't deserve to die. Do you have any weapons that re none lethal?"
"Yeah I have plenty," replied John. "Flash grenades, gas grenades, tranquillizers, stun guns and even a cable."
"Good we'll need all that. My phasing powers can short circuit their bikes so we don't have to worry about that."
"Are you sure you'll be up to it Kitty?"
"Yes I'm sure I'll be fine."
"If you're not up to it I can understand."
"I said I'm fine!" Her voice had been loud and angry. But then she fell silent. "Sorry it's just that this growth thing is really getting to me. I just I could stop and be my normal size again."
"Don't worry Kitty I'm sure Hank will think up of something to help you?"
"But we're like a billion miles away from Earth. How are we going to get there?"
"Just worry about that later. Maybe I can create something that can help support your body."
"That would be great but I doubt that it would grows when I do."
"Never doubt technology my friend."
The next morning the natives were in hiding as Kitty and Hysteria were waiting for the Bandits to come. Kitty was now well over the 9 foot mark. She was 9'4 and sometimes she struggled to stand up a little. But she just put it in the back of her mind as she heard the bell ring.
"Are you ready?" asked Hysteria.
"Yeah I'm ready," replied Kitty. "How many are there?"
Hysteria then zoomed in with his vision. He was picking up multiple heat signatures. "We've got about six all of bikes. Or whatever their equivalent of a bike is."
"How fast are they going?"
"About 80mph."
"They'll be here in a minute. Good luck."
In a minute the Bandits came. They were still driving fast and they saw the pair just standing there.
"We've got ourselves a pair of brave fools," said One Bandit.
"The tall one's mine," replied Another Bandit.
He then went racing towards Kitty. He was laughing as he got closer to the Mini Giantess. But she just stood there. He was waiting to see her die.
But to his horror he went straight through her. Kitty's powers had short circuited the bike like she planned and it was out of control. He eventually crashed but he was able to jump to safety first.
"What the hell are you?"
"Your worst nightmare," replied Kitty.
Eventually the other Bandits were close. Hysteria was beginning to shoot them off their bikes. But his blasters were to stun not kill. He was still adjusting to the beliefs of the X-Men.

Kitty began to walk towards the Bandit she had knocked down. But she was starting to get tired. She knew that she had to finish this soon or else she would surely collapse out of exhaustion. She looked over and she saw that Hysteria was holding his own.
When she reached the bandit she picked him up by his throat and she brought him up to her level.
"Looks like the bully is being bullied," said Kitty. She was hoping that her new height would scare him.
"You can't be real," replied the Bandit.
"Oh but I am real."
"Please have mercy."
"Did you show these people any mercy when you terrorized their lives? You are one of the lowest beings I have ever seen."
"Don't kill me."
"You're thankful that I'm a nice person. You won't die but you will know pain." But before he could react Kitty slammed him on the ground and he fell unconscious. "That should do."
Hysteria had dealt with the other Bandits. They had taken the unconscious ones and retreated. Everyone came out of hiding and they were happy with what they had just witnessed.
"We did it Kitty," said Hysteria. "We got rid of them."
"Yeah great," replied Kitty.
But then she collapsed on the ground. Hysteria soon went to her aid. But she was out cold. He began to panic over the fear of losing his new friend.
When Kitty woke up she found herself on a bed. It was too small for her and it was a little uncomfortable. He legs were over the edge. She looked at her body and realised that she was taller. She had to be at least 9'8. This scared her because now she was more then 4 feet taller then she should be.
But then she saw one of the aliens come to her. He smiled at her and she just looked puzzled at him.
"You're awake," he said.
"Where am I?" replied Kitty.
"You're just getting some medical attention. Your friend and a few of the others are trying to find a way to help you."
"I've gotta go and see Hysteria."
"I would advise you not to move you're still ill."
"I don't care."
Kitty then slowly got to her feet. She stood up to her full height but her head hit the ceiling. She rubbed her head a little.
"Please lie back down."
"Where are they?"
"Please I beg you."
"Look I don't want to hurt you or anything like that I just want to see my friend. I want to know how they're going to help me."
"I can tell you that."
"Go on then."
"First you need to sit back down."
Kitty soon responded by sitting down on the bed.

"Ok then what are they making?" asked Kitty.
"They're trying to create something that'll help support your body," replied the Alien. "As you can clearly see you're having a lot of difficulties simple moving around."
"I know but I'm trying my best. But I just can't stop growing. I must be 10 feet tall by now."
"No you're 4 inches off you're 9'8."
"And I'll probably grow the extra few inches within the hour."
"I admit you're growing fast but not that fast my dear."
But then Kitty saw Hysteria and one of the aliens come to her. They seemed to have a serum in their hands and Kitty was a little puzzled. But she was in no hurry to give Hysteria a hug. She was just glad to see him.
"I didn't know you liked me that much," said Hysteria.
"Well it won't happen too often I can assure you of that," replied Kitty. "I've heard you've got something that can help me."
"Yes while you were snoozing I got an X-ray of you and we've created a formula that should reinforce your skeleton."
"By how much?"
"Well hopefully you'll be able to support yourself no matter how big you get. But it's just a theory."
"Do you think it'll work?"
"Yes I do." He then filled up the syringe and he looked at Kitty. "You're not afraid of needles are you?"
"Not in particular but it's dangerous I would have phased through it."
Hysteria then injected Kitty with the serum. Her body felt a little weird and she looked around. Her body still felt heavy and she looked at Hysteria.
"It might take a few minutes to work," said Hysteria. "Just lie back down and get some rest.
"Ok."
Kitty lay back down on the bed she was on. Her body still felt weird from the serum and she could feel herself getting taller. She tried to put it into the back of her mind. She wanted to concentrate on getting home with the X-Men. But she admitted that she was having some time away from them was a good thing. But she really wanted to get back with them.
An hour past and Kitty was about 9'10. She slowly rose to her feet and she expected to feel something pulling her down like always. But this time she felt normal. But here she couldn't stand up to her full height. The ceiling was way too low for her. She walked outside and she was able to stand up to her full height. It seemed to be late afternoon but she began walking around a little. There didn't seem to be anymore pressure on her body. She did a few punches and kicks and they were as fast as ever.
"Looks like the serum worked," thought Kitty. "That's one out of three problems gone. Now to get home and stop growing. But where exactly is home. These guys probably never heard of Earth."
Then Kitty saw Hysteria flying in the air. He noticed her on the ground and he flew low enough until the pair saw eye to eye. His feet were a good three and a half feet above the ground.
"I see that you're up and about again," said Hysteria. "So I take it the serum worked."
"Yeah better then I could have hoped," replied Kitty.

"Any idea how we can get home?" asked Kitty.
"Well Audiates have offered us a ship," replied Hysteria.
"The who?"
"The Audiates. That's the name of their species. They've offered us ship with a large cargo hold to store you in when you get really big."
"If I get really big."
"Ok if you get really big. But I don't know which way it is to Earth. We're a lot further away from Earth then we've ever been."
"Actually this is the first time you've ever been off the planet."
"Don't be so sure of that. Anyway while I've been here I've upgraded my suit a little. Now it kicks so much ass."
"Where's the ship?"
"Just out of town a little. I'm even deciding a name for it."
"Let's just get to the ship. I want to be back on Earth ASAP."
"Ok Boss lady."
"No need to be sarcastic."
The pair then go to the ship. It was quite big and it had a silver colour. It didn't have a name on the side and they both stared at it a little. Hysteria was getting a little over excited.
"This ship is so cool," said Hysteria. "I know what I'm going to call it."
"What name?" replied Kitty.
"Barricade."
"Why that name?"
"It just sounds cool. Also he was kick ass in the Transformers film."
"What ever."
The pair then go into the ship and go into the cockpit. Kitty was having difficulties fitting in with her extreme height. The ceilings were only 8 feet high and she was an inch and a half away from being 10 feet tall. She just did her best to fit. There was even a chair in the cockpit for her. She sat down on it and took ht weight off her feet. But it felt like sitting on a seat that was meant for a small child.
"This seat is way too small," said Kitty.
"Well when they built this ship I don't think they expected 10 footers to sit down on it," replied Hysteria
Kitty then looked at the controls. She didn't understand any of them. "How do we take off?"
"Well we just activate the tutorial."
He then pushed a button and a hologram came up. It started to tell them how to fly the ship. It was really simple. Even they were getting it quickly and it was easy enough for a child to fly.
When the tutorial was complete Hysteria started to do the right things to take off. Kitty was now 9'11 1/2 feet tall. Another half an inch and she truly would be 10 feet tall.
"Are you ready?" asked Hysteria.
"Well it's best that we say goodbye to everyone first," replied Kitty.
"Ok then."
Hysteria opened a window and they both leaned out of it and they waved goodbye to everyone. They waved back and they were thankful that they didn't have to worry about the bandits anymore.
When the goodbyes were over Hysteria started the controls and the pair took off into outer space.

Chapter 5 Lost in Space

As Barricade left the atmosphere Hysteria and Kitty began to relax a little. But then she noticed that Hysteria was hooking some wires from the ship to his suit. She was a little curious with what he was doing.
"What are you doing?" asked Kitty.
"I'm just uploading music from my suit to this computer system," replied Hysteria. "I've got thousands of songs on here."
"Like what?"
"Well I just give you an example. Play What I've Done." Just then What I've done by Linkin Park came on. Hysteria was rocking a little to it. "Pretty cool don't you think?"
"I guess it is. But I was just wandering did we get any food on here?"
"Yeah sure. There's a machine in the back. It actually creates food. If we had these things on Earth that would be the end of world hunger."
"What food does it do?"
"All in existence."
Kitty then stood up and walked to the machine. When she got here there she saw that the machine was quite tall. But she towered above it. She hadn't known that she had just reached the 10 foot mark. But she squatted down to the machine.
"Please state what food is required," said the Machine.
"A Bean Burger please," replied Kitty.
"Very well." It almost instantly made a Bean Burger for Kitty. She picked it up and she ate it. But strange she was still hungry.
"Another one please."
"Very well."
Kitty was there for a while eating Bean Burgers and then ordering another one. But when she was eventually full she guessed that she had eaten about twenty of them. She couldn't believe how hungry she was. but now she felt a little thirsty. She looked at the machine.
"Can you do drinks?" asked Kitty.
"Yes I can create any drink imaginable," replied the Machine.
"How about a Diet Coke?"
"What size?"
Kitty began to think a little. A normal size can or bottle wouldn't last her. "A gallon maybe."
Then the machine created a gallon sized can of Diet coke. She picked it up and started to drink it. She took huge gulps and she didn't even stop for air. But before she knew it she had drunk the entire can. She burped a little.
"Excuse me," said Kitty.
Then she went back into the cockpit. She carefully sat back down and Hysteria was still playing his music but this time it was Metallica he had on. he looked over to her and he smiled. He even took off his helmet.
"So did you find it?" asked Hysteria.
"Yeah but I ate a lot more then I normal did," replied Kitty.
"How much more?"
"Well let's just say I ate twenty bean burgers and drank a full gallon of diet coke. I eat nowhere near that."
"Well your body craves the calories it needs to support your growth. How tall are you now?"
"I'd say under 10 feet."
"I'd say a little more."

"How do you know that?" asked Kitty.
"Just looking at you is one thing," replied Hysteria. "I can prove it as well. While you were having a little snack I set the computer to see what things are on this ship. I found something that they measured cargo with. That can measure your current size and weight."
"Where is it?"
"In the cargo bay. But there's a load of things on this ship. There're medical quarters, entertainment room and there's a room here that sets to the ideal room of who ever goes inside."
"I just might take a look at that one a little later."
The pair then go down to the cargo bay. It was a long way but when they got there they saw the machine. Kitty stepped onto it and Hysteria typed some keys in. he was amazed by the results.
"So how tall am I John?" asked Kitty.
"Well according to this you are 10'1 inches tall and you weigh 739 pounds."
"Wow I'm really packing on the pounds."
"Wait a minute."
"What."
"You just gained 2 pounds. Now your 741 pounds."
"Oh my God I'm still growing."
"Ok I think its best that we land somewhere and see if we can find anything that'll help us."
"What if I keep growing? Will people still care about me if I'm accidentally crushing them?"
"Don't think that Kitty. I promise you we'll find something. But we also have two more problems."
"What are they?"
"We've got no money and we're quite low on fuel."
"Great things are just getting better all the time. Why do I have to be so big?"
"Ok calm down Kitty."
"Calm down? How can I calm down when I just keep getting bigger and bigger?" Kitty lashed out by hitting some of the creates. They broke almost instantly. "WHY CAN'T I STAY AT ONE HEIGHT?"
Hysteria then fired a rope at her and it almost instantly wrapped. She fell to one knee.
"I'm sorry I had to do that," said Hysteria."
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?"
"I'm calming you down." He then saw her phase her body through the ropes and she stood back up to her full height. "I think that I might have made things a whole lot worse."
Then Kitty grabbed Hysteria's neck and she lifted him up to her level. She pinned him to a wall and she was pissed off.
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH!"
"K-Kitty."
"WHAT?"
"Y-you're c-choking me."
This snapped her back into reality. She dropped him and she broke down crying her heart out.
"I'm sorry John," she cried. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm just so frustrated with everything."

Hysteria slowly got back up to his feet. Kitty was still crying her heart out. He carefully walked over to her. He didn't know if she was going to lash out again. But in her current mood that was unlikely.
"It's alright Kitty," replied Hysteria.
"No it's not," replied Kitty. "I let my size get to me. Do you know how it feels when you're still growing and you want it to stop. I don't know how long it'll be before I become a true giant."
"You're already are a true giant."
"No I mean Godzilla size. What if I destroy everything I hold dear to me? I can't go back to Earth if I'm a threat."
"Kitty snap out of it. I know that you would never hurt anyone." She then looked at him a little weird. "Well besides just now. But that's excusable. I shouldn't have tied you up."
"You thought you were doing what was best."
"But like the idiot I am I forgot about your phasing powers. I think you're tired. It's best that you went to bed."
"Yeah I think that you're right. Where was that room you talked about earlier?"
"I'll show you."
Hysteria then took Kitty to another room. It had a high door so she could walk through it without having to duck down. But it was only a few inches away and she knew that she'd probably grow that height within a few hours. But she didn't seem to see anything inside. It was just an empty room.
"Please tell me that this is a joke," said Kitty.
"I think you have to give it a few seconds," replied Hysteria.
Just then Kitty saw a very large bed appear. She saw all different things happening. There was a large mirror on the wall and it was all appearing out of nowhere. But the best thing was that they were ideal for someone of her height. Even the ceiling seemed to have gotten higher. At first she thought that she was normal size. But she saw Hysteria coming up to her waist. This made her remember that she was still huge.
"Well what do you think?" asked Hysteria.
"It's the perfect room," replied Kitty. "In here I feel like I'm my normal size again. It's great."
"Good I'll just leave you."
"Where will you sleep?"
"Nowhere remember I don't sleep."
"Oh yeah sorry."
"Ok see you later."
"Wait just one more thing." She then picked him up and gave him a hug. It last a few seconds before she carefully put him back down on the ground. "Sorry about earlier."
"That's alright. Now goodnight."
"Goodnight."
Hysteria then left and Kitty went towards the closet. It was empty. But a few seconds later some nightwear appeared. She took off her X-Costume and put the nightwear on. She then went into bed and she slowly went to sleep.
Meanwhile in the cockpit Hysteria was checking on a few things. The fuel was quite low and the ship really needed a good paint job. He began to look on the space map to see if there was anywhere they could land.
He eventually saw a space station that seemed to be idea. He plotted a course towards it.

The next morning Kitty woke up feeling good. At first she thought that her growth was all a bad dream since everything in the room seemed to look normal size. She got up and had a shower before putting her X-Costume on. She wanted to get herself some food and she opened the door. But when she walked out of the Mind Room her head was brushing against the very high ceiling. She finally remembered what had happened to her.
"So it wasn't a dream," she said to herself.
She then began to look around the ship for Hysteria but he wasn't anywhere to be found. At first she thought that he had abandoned her. But she told herself that he wasn't. Her paranoia was increasing due to her size. She tried to make herself feel happier.
But then she noticed something in the cockpit. She had some difficulties squeezing inside but she was able to manage it. There was a note addressed to her. She picked it up and began to read it.
It said "Dear Kitty. We've just landed on a space station to refill and get a few essentials. I went to wake you up but you seemed so tired I didn't have the heart. Anyway if you want breakfast go to that machine again. Or if you want to look for me I'll be around. From Hysteria."
Kitty putt he note down and she began to think about it for a few minutes. But then she felt her stomach grumble. She was still hungry so she went back to the machine and got enough food and drink to satisfy her.
But after that she decided to go to through the door to the outside. But the ship stopped her and she went to phase through it.
"Stop," said the Computer.
"You can't stop me going outside," replied Kitty.
"Yes I can unless you have vaccinations."
"What why?"
"There are deadly diseases out here that your body isn't immune to. If you go out there you will surely die."
"What about Hysteria he went out before me?"
"He has already been given the vaccinations."
"Ok I'll have them. Just give them to me."
"Please report to the medi-lab."
"You've got to be joking."
"Please report to the Medi-Lab."
Kitty unwillingly went to the medi-lab. It was a tight squeeze but she was able to get inside. That was thanks to her phasing powers. But she just looked around and she didn't see much.
"Please lie on the bed," said the Computer.
"I can't its like half my size," replied Kitty.
"Please wait there."
Just then Kitty felt a stab in her arm. She looked and saw a syringe in it. Some liquid went into her blood stream.
"Ouch," she said.
"All done," replied the Computer.
"Can I go out now?"
"No."
"What why?"
"You didn't say please."
"Please can I go outside?"

"Sure you can," said the Computer.
"Thanks," replied Kitty.
She still wasn't too happy with the computer for making her have all the vaccinations. But when she got to the door she was way too tall to fit through normally. But she just used her phasing powers to get out of the ship. But what she saw shocked her.
She seemed to be in the middle of a moving crowd. It seemed to be a market but she was towering over everyone. The tallest creature came up to her hip. But that was about it. They didn't really seem to take much notice to her. This surprised her a little. She expected everyone to stare at her.
"Funny little place," she thought. She then looked around a little. "Where's Hysteria?"
"Hey you," said a Voice.
Kitty looked and saw someone at a stall. She walked over to it and it looked back up at her.
"You wanted me?" asked Kitty.
"Yes I know an outlander when I see one," replied the Alien. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Dope." Kitty giggled. "What's so funny about Dope?"
"Well where I'm from it means something else."
"Where are you from?"
"Earth."
"Never heard of it."
"Well it is really far away. Have you seen Hysteria?"
"A what?"
"Ok he looks similar to me. But he's a lot shorter and wearing a lot of armour."
"No I'm afraid I haven't seen him my very tall friend. But maybe you're interested in what I'm selling."
"What are you selling?"
"Well all kind of enhancement serums."
"Enhancement serums?" Thought Kitty. "You don't happen to have any that can make me shorter?"
"Sorry I sold out of those. Maybe one that makes you taller?"
"No thank you. If you haven't noticed I'm tall enough already and I'm still growing. I was just wondering. How tall do you think I am?"
"Well you're about 700 Gondonas."
"In feet and inches please."
"Oh about 14 feet."
"Oh my God 14 feet?"
"I have something else that might make you better. How about an extra head."
"No thanks one's enough."
"How about giving you a few more eyes. Two definitely does not suit you."
"No thank you. I don't want any enhancements. I don't even have any money."
"What?"
She then patted her hips. "See no pockets."
"Then why the hell have I been talking to you?"
Kitty then left the stall. She was a little disappointed that she hadn't found Hysteria. But she felt a little offended by the Dope. But she tried to put it into the back of her mind.
But she didn't see a small object on the ground. She tripped over it and she landed face first on the ground.

Kitty slowly got herself up. She was in some pain and she could only give out a small ouch. Her face was aching and she wondered if she had any injuries. She looked at a mirror to her left and thankfully her face was alright.
"Thank God no injuries," said Kitty. She then looked at her hand. "Well besides the broken hand." This was the same injury that she had earlier while she was back on Earth.
But then Kitty heard what she thought was Hysteria's voice. She looked around to see where it was coming from. But when she looked she saw a bar. She thought for a moment and that's where most guys would go.
"Typical man."
Kitty then bent down to get into the bar. The ceiling inside was surprisingly high and she could stand up straight. But her head was only about an inch away from the ceiling. She knew that she had to find him fast. She knew that she'd probably grow that inch in no time flat.
But when she looked she saw Hysteria sitting at the bar having a laugh and a drink with some of the other aliens. They all turned around and looked at Kitty. Hysteria didn't at first until he noticed everyone else looking.
"Hey what's everyone looking at?" asked Hysteria. Then he turned around and saw Kitty. He noticed how much taller she was since the last time he had seen her. "Oh hi Kitty."
"What are you doing?" replied Kitty.
"Oh just having a drink."
"Can we even afford that?"
"Yeah come on sit down and relax. I'll get you a drink."
"I don't drink."
"How about something none alcoholic?"
"Ok."
Kitty then sat down and the barman made her the largest drink that they had. It seemed to be the ideal size for Kitty. Everyone went back to their drinks and some of them couldn't get over Kitty's size. But they thought it was normal for her species. But she would tell them that it was just her.
An hour past and everyone had drunk enough. They needed to get back to their ships. When Kitty stood up her head hit the ceiling. She rubbed her head a little.
"Crap I'm even taller," said Kitty.
"You're just over reacting."
"Over reacting? I must have grown 3 inches in an hour."
"Well when we get back to the ship we'll measure you."
"Ok."
Kitty and Hysteria then left the bar and began to walk back to the ship. But Hysteria was having a hard time keeping up with her since her legs were almost three times his leg length.
But on the way they ran into an alien. He had an eye for Kitty and he looked over to Hysteria.
"How much?" he asked.
"For what?" replied Hysteria.
"For your wife."
"What?" replied Kitty. She bent down and frowned at the alien. "Listen buddy I'm not his wife and I'm not for sale."
"You have a temper."
"You bet I do."

They both then walked away. Kitty wasn't too happy with what had just happened. She couldn't believe that they were offering money for her and that everyone thought that Hysteria was her husband.
But when they got inside Kitty phased herself inside and she went to the cargo bay. She waited for Hysteria to come in. She had to wait a few minutes for him to come. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot.
"I thought you were fast," said Kitty.
"Well unlike you I'm not blessed with 8 foot long legs," replied Hysteria. "Also I had to get the ship up and flying again. Now shall we get underway?"
"Yeah sure."
Kitty stood where she should stand and Hysteria went to the computer to do all the measurements. He was surprised with the results.
"So how tall am I?" asked Kitty.
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes I do."
"Well from this is says that your 14'10 tall and you weigh 1 ton and 354 pounds."
"That can't be right can it?"
"Well computers don't lie."
"Oh great I'm growing even faster."
"I don't necessarily think so. I think you grow faster in your sleep. You must have gained four feet in the space of 30 hours."
"Wait what?"
"Yeah you were asleep for 30 hours."
"So not only am I huge I'm sleeping a lot more then I should do."
"Well it's only natural. With all that growth your body needs time to rest. It's like a young child. They're growing faster then adults so they need more sleep."
"What are you an expert?"
"No just common sense." He began to think a little. "Err Kitty I was just wondering something."
"Yes what is it?"
"Well I know I won't be able to rely on my armour for everything. I wanted to know could you teach me a few of your martial art skills?"
"What?"
"Well I need to know how to fight. Because I know one day I'll have to fight without my armour. So I just wanted to prepare myself."
"Well since you're helping me with a few things I may as well help you. Ok I'll teach you a few moves."
"Great I'll go get the others."
"What others?"
"Just pullin' your leg."
Over the next few hours Kitty began to teach Hysteria some of her martial arts skills. She was get a little taller every hour. But it was also difficult to go hand to hand. Kitty would practically have to sit down just to get to his level.
By the end of the training Kitty had gained an additional 5 inches and gained an extra 204 pounds. This did get her down a little but she tried to keep her spirits up.
"Well that'll do for today," said Kitty. "I'll teach you again when we have time."
"Ok that's fine," replied Hysteria. "Do you want any food?"
"Yes please I'm starving."
But outside no one noticed a wormhole appear in front of ship. They went through it and no one seemed to notice anything different.

Chapter 6 Pirates of Caliphate of Nhu Yorkh.

Totally oblivious to what had just happened Kitty and Hysteria went to the food machine. He got himself a nice basket of fries while Kitty was having a lot of vegetarian food. Hysteria just looked at her.
"Calm down with that," said Hysteria.
"Well a growing girl does need her food," replied Kitty.
"So I see you're happy enough to make a joke out of the situation."
"Well it's the only way I'm still going."
Then through the window they saw what seemed to be sunlight. They were in a sky and they could see all the clouds. They looked down and saw land beneath them. They jumped in excitement.
"We're home," said Kitty.
"Bloody hell that was fast," replied Hysteria.
"Can you land this thing?"
"Yeah sure just give me a minute."
Hysteria then went to the control room and he began to set the ship down onto the ground. He did it very slowly and carefully. Kitty was getting a little impatient. She couldn't wait to see all of the other X-Men.
When they finally did touch down on the ground Kitty phased through the ship and she looked around. Hysteria soon came out to her and he stood next to her leg. They were a little suspicious.
"Ok Hysteria where are we?"
"Let me check." He went to a screen on his arm and he typed a few things in. "I have absolutely no idea."
"What but this is earth?"
"I wish I could truly believe that."
Just then Kitty saw someone not too far away from them. He was almost identical to Colossus except there was something a little different about him. Instead of wearing an X-Costume he was wearing a pirate outfit. But Kitty ran up to him. She easily picked him up and she gave him the biggest hug she had ever given anyone.
"Peter oh you don't know how much I've missed you," said Kitty.
Colossus seemed to be a little confused. Hysteria lowly walked towards them. He was suspicious as well.
"Err who are you?" replied Colossus.
"Don't you recognise me? It's me Kitty a little larger then when you last saw me but its still me inside."
"This is impossible."
"Yeah thanks to some aliens my body is able to support my size."
"No I mean you were just over there a few minutes ago."
"What?" Kitty looked and she saw someone else. This one looked just like Kitty except she was roughly 6 years older, normal size and like Colossus was wearing a pirate costume. "Oh my God."
"Wow two Kittys," said Hysteria. "Looks like you were cloned."
"I wasn't cloned."
Then the pirate Kitty walked up to Kitty. She put Colossus down and the pair just looked at each other. They were both speechless. But then the Pirate Kitty spoke up.
"Wait I remember you," said the Pirate Kitty. "You're that other version of me that helped Nightcrawler (See Nightcrawler #4 1985)."
"Yeah guess that's me," replied Kitty.
"My how you've err grown."
"It's a long story."

"What brings you here anyway?" asked Pirate Kitty. "I haven't seen you in years and years."
"Well I think we kinda got here by accident," replied Kitty. "We're trying to get back to Earth."
"You are on Earth. Well not exactly your Earth but still its still Earth."
"I guess so but I really have to get back to my own." She then gave out a bit of a sigh. "So how are things around here?"
"Not too good."
"What's wrong?"
"Well a new guy came into power and he's really cutting down on us pirates. It's really bad. Most of the pirates have already been captured. Even Colossus and I have a huge price on our heads."
"Have you been doing anything illegal?"
"Well I am a pirate. I do some illegal things. But not that bad. We mainly help people rather then rob from them. But everyone isn't too happy with him. He's increased taxes to a point where no one can afford them. The city of Nhu Yorkh is close to anarchy."
"That's terrible."
"Well Colossus and I are trying to fight against him. But we're having a hard time finding allies."
"What about the Bamfs and the Fiend?" (This world's version of Nightcrawler and Wolverine)
"We haven't been able to find them either. Things are going from bad to worse for us. It's only a matter of time before we're captured."
"Don't worry we have things in the ship that'll help."
"Thanks that'll be a big help no pun intended." She then saw Hysteria. "Who's your friend over there?"
Kitty then looked and saw that she meant Hysteria. "Oh this is Hysteria he's a good friend of mine."
"Really good friends?"
"No not that good of friends. No offence."
"None taken," said Hysteria.
They then began to hear what sounded like gunshots. Pirate Kitty turned around and saw what seemed to be bounty hunters. She began to panic a little.
"Oh crap Bounty Hunters," said Pirate Kitty.
"Let's get to the ship," replied Hysteria.
The four of them then quickly got back to the ship. Because Kitty was too big to fit through the door she had to phase her body through. Hysteria went to the control room and he switched on a cloaking device so that they couldn't be seen. He gave out a sigh of relief.
Everyone else was in the cargo hold. Pirate Kitty and her Colossus were marveling over the technology that was here.
"What is all this stuff?" asked Colossus.
"I'm not sure of some of it myself," replied Kitty. "I've tried to work some of them but my hands were too big for them."
"Is it foreign?"
"Foreign as in alien."
"What's an alien?"
"Something from another world."
"Like you?"
"Not exactly."
Just then the ship began to rock violently. Kitty lost her balance and she fell onto the ground.

Hysteria held onto something while the ship shook. Pirate Kitty held onto Colossus who was keeping his balance. But almost instantly the rocking stopped. Hysteria went to one of the windows and took a look out of the window. He saw that the bounty hunters had some cannons with them.
"These bounty hunters are packing some real fire power," said Hysteria.
"Well they needed the most powerful weapons they had to take down Colossus and I," replied Pirate Kitty. "Do you have anything that can stop them?"
"I have weapons do you want lethal or non-lethal?"
"Non-Lethal."
"I hope I'm not butting in or anything but can someone give me a hand?" asked Kitty. She was still lying on the ground. In the end Colossus was the only one with enough strength to help her up. "Thanks Colossus."
"You're welcome Katya," replied Colossus.
Hysteria then started to pick some weapons from his armour. Like Pirate Kitty said he only got out non-Lethal weapons. He set his blasters to stun, he got out some gas grenades, flash grenades and he even had some tranquillizer darts. He gave a blaster to Pirate Kitty.
"Anyone else want a weapon?" asked Hysteria.
"No thank you," replied Colossus. "My strength is all I need."
"And I've already got my size, power and phasing abilities," added Kitty.
"Suit yourself," said Hysteria.
Kitty then grabbed Colossus and she phased him through the bottom of the ship with her. Hysteria just took the Pirate Kitty out of the main door.
"What happened to Colossus and Kitty?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"Let's just say they're going to give us a big hand in a minute.," replied Hysteria. "Now do me a favour and cover your eyes."
Pirate Kitty covered her eyes and then Hysteria threw one of his flash grenades. When it got close to the bounty hunters it exploded and the light temporarily blinded most of them. But another bounty hunter was about to fire the cannon.
Then almost out of nowhere Colossus came up through the ground and crushed the cannon.
"Where the hell did you come from?" asked the Bounty Hunter.
"I had some help from my little friend," replied Colossus.
Then Kitty phased herself up through the ground. When she was fully on top of the ground she stood up to her full height and the Bounty Hunter looked at her in fear.
"G-G-Giant!" he screamed in horror.
"Somehow I knew you were going to say that," replied Kitty. "Now I'm going to ask you a few questions."
Kitty hadn't noticed another of the bounty hunters was about to get up. He aimed his gun at Kitty and was about to fire. But then he was hit by a stun bullet from one of Hysteria's blasters. He fell onto the ground unconscious.
"Nice shooting Kitty," said Hysteria.
"Thanks," replied Pirate Kitty. She then blew blaster barrel.
But this hadn't stopped Kitty from getting her answers from the bounty hunter. Her sheer size struck fear into him. She was also good getting answers out of people whether it was being sweet and kind or being merciless.
"Tell me who is in charge now?" asked Kitty. Her voice was stern and angry.
"Master Ogun," replied the Bounty Hunter. "Please let me live I have a family."
"Everyone does."
She then hit him in the back of his neck and he fell unconscious.

Kitty was definitely surprised to hear Ogun's name. She remembered all of the trouble he had given her years ago (Again see Kitty Pryde and Wolverine #1-6). Even in death he had tried to take her body on numerous occasions. But she looked around and she saw the Pirate Kitty smiling a little.
"This Ogun guy must be new in town," said Pirate Kitty. "Well he's going to find out what happens when he messes with us."
"NO!" shouted Kitty. This had caught everyone by surprise. She never knew that her voice was so loud at this size. "I mean Ogun isn't to be taken lightly."
"Come on Colossus and I have faced tougher guys."
"But he gets into your mind. I faced him years ago and he turned me into his mindless and willing apprentice. Those were some of the worst days in my life. Also since he runs this area he'll have soldiers doing his biddings."
"So do you think we need help?"
"Yes I do think we should."
"Well I'm sure that the Fiend with no name will help us for a few cans of beer. The Bamfs because well they love us and now that there's two of us they'll be even more willing."
"Did someone say beer?" asked Hysteria.
"Now's not the time for a drink," replied Kitty.
"Anytime is good for a drink Kitty."
"We'll have a drink later." She then turned her attention back to Kitty. "Where are they now?"
"The Bamfs are still on their island," replied Pirate Kitty. "I haven't seen the Fiend with no name for some time now."
"How do we find him?"
"Simple get him to come to us. First we need about a few gallons of beer. Then we need to make some noise in the ground and he'll soon come to us."
"I could probably make the sounds," replied Hysteria. "But where do we get that much beer from?"
"I think Colossus can get that right?"
"Right," replied Colossus.
"And what will you two be doing?" asked Hysteria.
"Kitty and I will be going to get the Bamfs. Hopefully they'll come to us like before."
"That's great but how do you get there? The ship's isn't ready for immediate take off. It still needs to cool down."
"Don't worry I've got my own ship."
Pirate Kitty then whistled and at first nothing happened. But then they saw a huge dragon fly above them. It was in the shape of the X-Jet and it landed right next to the two Kitties.
"Lockheed," said Pirate Kitty. "You got here fast enough."
"Well speeds my specialty," replied Lockheed. He then noticed the other Kitty with her. "Wow that's you except a lot taller and a little younger. How tall are you anyway?"
"Last time I checked I was 15'3 but by now I'd say I was about 15'6 maybe 15'7. That's not a problem right?"
"Well maybe a little with the weight."
"Are you saying that I'm fat?"
"No not at all. Well you could lose a few pounds." Pirate Kitty then cleared her throat. "I mean you look stunning."
"Thank you."

The two Kitties got onto Lockheed and they flew away leaving Pirate Colossus and Hysteria. They waved goodbye and they began to think a little.
"Got any rum?" asked Hysteria.
"Barrels of the stuff," replied Colossus. "And I also have my native Vodka with me."
"Lead the way my friend."
The girls flew over to the island were the Bamfs were. Kitty admired the view from up here and she had a dread in her mind. She knew that if she wasn't cured this might be her new view point of the world. But then she felt Lockheed begin to go down.
"Ok ladies fasten your seatbelts we're going down," said Lockheed.
He then began to fly down fast towards the ground. The Kitties were panicking a little and they felt the wind through their hair.
But it only took a few seconds for them to land on the ground. Lockheed smiled in satisfaction.
"There you go satisfaction guaranteed," he said.
"Next time can you make it a little slower?" replied Pirate Kitty.
"Hey you wanted to get here fast I got you hear fast."
The Kitties couldn't be bothered to argue with him and just walked into the island. They eventually came to a village with primitive houses. Some were on the ground and some were in the trees. They were small even by normal standards. The Kitties couldn't see the Bamfs.
"Where are they?" asked Kitty.
"They're somewhere around here," replied Pirate Kitty.
She then bent down and knocked the door to one of the houses. But there wasn't any answer. This worried her a little.
"I remember Bamfs were jumpy over-excited. Shouldn't they be trying to hug us by now?"
"Yes this definitely is weird."
Just then Kitty began to hear a noise. She looked over to one of the trees. "Quiet for a second please."
"What is it?"
"I hear something." Then she took a few steps towards the tree. She could also see something rattling in some leaves. She was easily tall enough to reach the thing that was hiding in the leaves. "Got you." She then pulled it out and she took a look at it. It was 2 feet tall and looked just like Nightcrawler. It was a male Bamf.
"Please don't hurt me," replied the Bamf.
"I'm not here to hurt you. What happened here?"
"It's quiet now. They came in the blackness." Just then he began to cry a little. Kitty felt some sympathy for him and she gave him a little hug. "Don't worry you're safe now. No one is going to hurt you." She then looked over to the Pirate Kitty.
"Is he alright?" she asked.
"I doubt it. He seems to be traumatized."
"Bring him down here I know what'll make him feel better."
Kitty handed the small Bamf to her Pirate counterpart. Bamf looked into her eyes and he began to feel calm. He even got a hug off her.
"Feeling any better?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"A little," replied Bamf.
"Tell us exactly what happened?"
"I don't know? One moment we're having our annual pizza festival. But the next something came and took all of the Bamfs. It was able to escape and I hid."
"How long ago was that?"

"I think I was there for a day," said Bamf.
"A day?" replied Pirate Kitty. "You must be starving."
"Well I am hungry."
"Then let's take you to get some food." She then looked around and saw some fruit on the trees. But it was way too high for her to reach. But it was easily in the reach for Kitty. "Hey Kitty you wouldn't mind getting Bamf that apple?"
"Yeah sure," replied Kitty. She then reached up and grabbed the apple. It was normal sized but compared to her it was small. She then gave it to Bamf. "There you go."
"Thanks Kitty," said Bamf.
"You're welcome."
Bamf then began to eat the apple and it made him feel better. But both Kitties made their way back to Lockheed. They knew what they had to do now. But Kitty noticed something on the ground and she picked it up. There was some small writing on there. She was amazed that she could still read it. It seemed that her growth had given her some new benefits. It was also in Japanese that she was fluent in.
"I think we have our clue," said Kitty.
"Who did this?" replied Pirate Kitty.
"Ogun's troops."
"I knew he would be behind it somehow. Let's just get back and hope that Colossus and Hysteria have got the Fiend."
The pair then got onto Lockheed and they began to fly away. He noticed that Kitty was a little heavier then she was when she got on earlier. But he didn't say anything because he knew how women were when someone talked about their weight.
They eventually got back to the ship Barricade. The Kitties were happy to see Colossus and Hysteria with the Fiend with no name. But when they landed on the ground they noticed something else. The men were struggling to stand up and walk around. At first they didn't know what was wrong until Pirate Kitty found an empty bottle of Vodka on the ground.
"Great they've been drinking," said Pirate Kitty.
"We can't use them if they're intoxicated," replied Kitty.
"Then we'll just have to sober them up."
They went towards the men and Hysteria saw them. He had his helmet off and he couldn't see straight. But he was still happy.
"Hey the Kitty's are back," said Hysteria. "It's little and large."
"Great I was wondering when they'd be back," replied Colossus. He then hiccupped. "I could do with another drink."
"No more drinks," said Pirate Kitty.
"That goes for you too Hysteria," added Kitty.
"I'm not going to stop," replied Hysteria. "Unless you're almost three times my height." He then laughed.
"I am almost three times your height."
"Oh bloody hell you are. There goes my excuse."
"Come on don't make me have to do anything that you'll regret later."
"Give me your best shot."
"Ok you asked for it."
Kitty then grabbed Hysteria's right leg and she lifted him up off his feet. He hung him upside down with her one hand. He wasn't too pleased at this.
"Hey put me down."
"Not yet."
Hysteria then began to throw up the vodka that he had drunk. Some of it had gotten onto Kitty's boot and she wasn't too happy about it.

"Damn it Hysteria," said Kitty.
"Well that's what you get for hanging a drunk man upside down," replied Hysteria. "Now put me down."
"With pleasure." Kitty then raised him higher and then she dropped him. He landed on his back and he gave a small cry of pain. But he eventually stood back up.
"What did you do that for?"
"For throwing up on the only boots in a few billion miles that actually fit me. Plus to teach you a lesson about getting drunk."
"I do what I want when I want to whom ever I want. No 17 foot woman is going to make me do anything else."
"Do you want to prove that?" Kitty then gave him an angry look that made him think a little.
"Ok maybe a 17 foot woman might do that to me."
"Ok now I'm telling you to do this. Go somewhere and sober up."
"Good thinking Kitty," replied Pirate Colossus.
"That goes to you too Colossus," replied Pirate Kitty.
"But Kitty."
"No buts you three go somewhere and sober up."
"If you don't you'll have us to deal with," replied Kitty.
"Ok fair enough," replied Hysteria.
Hysteria, Colossus and the Fiend with no Name went towards a tree where they fell to the ground. Colossus and the Fiend with no Name fell asleep but Hysteria's mutant powers denied him this.
But back with the Kitties Bamf was getting a little happier. He was teleporting from Pirate Kitty's arms to giant Kitty's arms.
"Your arms are make me feel safe and comfortable," said Bamf. He was in Pirate Kitty's arms. But then he teleported to Giant Kitty's arms. "But yours are the same and there's more room. I don't know which one to choose."
"Which ever you're comfortable in," replied Pirate Kitty.
"But that's the thing they're both so soft. Well since you've held me for a while." He was still in giant Kitty's arms. "I think I'll stay in these ones."
"Thanks for the compliments," replied Kitty.
"All that growing made you extra soft. Are you still growing?"
"Yep every second I'm a little bigger."
"Shame but maybe being big is a good thing."
"Oh please what's good about being the tallest person ever and still growing?"
"There's more of you to love."
"I guess so."
"Plus you can help a lot more people at that size. If you got big enough you could hold up a bridge."
"Yeah I guess you're right. But I think we're getting a little side tracked right now. Where is Ogun?"
"He's in this huge castle," replied Pirate Kitty. "It's too heavily guarded and we won't survive a full front assault even with all of our powers."
"We need a more subtle root inside. But we need Hysteria for that. He'll know a good way to get seen undetected."
"Could you just phase us through the wall?"
"But the guards will notice me. I'm big now but by then I'll be gigantic."

"Then what do we do?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"We'll need Hysteria for this," replied Kitty. "I've got an idea. You, Hysteria, Bamf and the Fiend go in first. You take out as many guards as you can. But when you've been discovered Colossus and I will attack. The guards would have mainly concentrated on you guys so when we attack their forces will be weaker."
"I get what you're talking about."
"But we have to wait for those three to sober up. When that happens we can go through the plan more thoroughly." Kitty then looked at Bamf. "Bamf can you teleport someone else into the castle?"
"Well I've teleported other Bamfs," said Bamf. "But never anyone human size."
"Well practice a little on Kitty here. I'm know that I'm way too big for you to teleport."
"Ok I'll try."
Bamf then teleported into Pirate Kitty's arms. He grabbed onto her and he teleported her to a location a few feet away. They got there in one piece and Pirate Kitty felt a little sick.
"Wow that's really something," said Pirate Kitty. She then looked at Bamf and he looked very tired. "Are you alright Bamf."
"Just a little tired. Need to rest."
"You do that."
Bamf then fell asleep and the Pirate Kitty put him on the ground. She made sure that he was safe and comfortable.
"So what now?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"What else can we do? We'll have to wait for the men to sober up."
This took hours. Hysteria was the first to get up from being drunk. He had a terrible headache and he felt like he was going to be sick.
"Bloody hangover," said Hysteria. But then he saw a large shadow over him. At first he thought it was a threat but then he turned around and saw Kitty. But he was astonished to see that she was now 20 feet tall. This caught him by surprise and he fell over. "What the hell?"
"Don't worry it's only me," replied Kitty.
"Wow you must be growing really fast."
"Not really. It's just that you've been down and out for a while."
"Oh that's it then. But Kitty you're huge."
"Please don't remind me." She then paused for a moment. "If you don't mind I put one of you DVDs on for Bamf while he recovered. I saw you downloaded them all on the ships computers and I told the ship to play the longest one."
"Hmm what was the longest one now?" He began to think a little but then something went off in his mind. "You didn't put on Scarface did you?"
"Well I didn't really look at which one it was."
"That's the longest film in my collection."
"Oh crap I've heard it's a really violent film."
"The guy says the F word over 100 times in the film."
Kitty then tried to get inside Barricade. but she was too big to fit through the doorso she had to phase herself into the ship. She had to crawl along the corridors because she was way too big to simple walk through them. But she eventually got to where Bamf was and the credits were just rolling. She felt a little sick and she tried to talk to him.
"Hey did you enjoy the movie?" asked Kitty.
"You need people like me," replied Bamf.
"For what?"
"So you can point your F**king fingers and say that's the bad guy."
"Crap."

"You've got a look in your eye that you ain't been F**ked in years," said Bamf. He laughed a little. But it annoyed Kitty.
"Hey don't use language like that," replied Kitty. "Or else I'll have to wash your mouth out with soap."
"Ok but let me get one thing straight. I've never f**ked anyone over in my life who didn't have it coming to them. All I've got are my balls and my word and I break them for no one. You got it."
"That's it you're having you mouth washed out with soap."
"No I'll be good."
Kitty then smiled a little. "That's good now we need to get back outside. And if I catch you swearing again I will wash your mouth out with soap. That's not a threat that's a guarantee."
"Ok."
"Good now let's get back outside."
Kitty then grabbed onto Bamf and she phased herself through Barricade and onto the ground. Pirate Kitty, Colossus, Hysteria, Lockheed and the Fiend-With-No-Name were waiting for her.
"You took your time," said Hysteria.
"Please don't get me started," replied Kitty.
"Anyway shall we begin to think of the plan in more detail?" asked Colossus.
"Ok we will," replied Hysteria. "Do you guys have plans to the castle?"
"Yeah I do," replied Pirate Kitty. She then got a scroll from her pocket. She had very deep pockets so it was able to fully hide it. She then rolled it out. "I got it when I was captured."
"Wait you were captured?"
"Yeah but Colossus broke me out. We only just survived the experience."
"So definitely a head on would be a particular bad idea. Unless."
"Unless what?"
"Right what do we know?"
"That Ogun is evil and he has many guards," replied Bamf.
"Exactly he has many guards," said Hysteria. "A front assault will draw their forces away from him. Then a few of us sneak into the castle and over throw him. How does that sound?"
"Great but who's going to be in the frontal assault?" asked the Fiend-With-No-Name. "I want some action."
"I haven't planned on you going. I'm planning on Kitty and Colossus. Colossus has his metal skin that will make him almost invulnerable and Kitty has her phasing powers. Besides I'm guessing that there aren't that many giants here are there?"
"No."
"Then Kitty will catch them off guard. With the guards occupied we shall enter the castle in two different places." He then got the plans out. "Ok Bamf since Fiend here is the smallest you will teleport him and yourself inside at here."
"Got it," replied Bamf.
"Kitty."
"Yes," replied both Kitties.
"Ok little Kitty."
"Yes," replied Pirate Kitty.
"Ok you will be with me and we'll get in through here. My armour has a torch that can cut through steel like butter. Then we go in and meet up with the others."
"Got it."

A few hours past and it was soon night fall. Kitty had gained at least another three feet making her a staggering 23 feet tall. She still couldn't get over the change. In a few days she had grown from 5'6 to 23 feet. But all she could do was put it into the back of her mind.
They were just outside the castle where Ogun was stationed. They were just out of the sight of the guards behind a tree line. Kitty had to bend down so that she couldn't be seen.
"Ok everyone remember the plan?" asked Hysteria.
"One problem," replied Bamf.
"What's that?"
"I need to see where I'm teleporting to or else I might end up in a wall."
"Bloody hell now you tell me."
This scared Bamf a little but Pirate Kitty was able to calm him down. She gave him a pleasant smile.
"Look I know you can do it," said Pirate Kitty. "You just need to have faith in yourself."
"I can do it?" replied Bamf.
"Yes you can do it. If you do this both me and the other Kitty will give you big hugs and kisses."
"Well if you put it like that."
Hysteria was looking towards the castle. His hi tech helmet was picking up multiple guards on duty.
"Ok you know your roles," said Hysteria. "Colossus, Colossal Kitty."
"Don't call me that," replied Kitty.
"Ok do a frontal attack. Distract them as long as you can. If you get too badly injured pull back."
Kitty then stood up to her full height and she could be seen by the guards. She then picked up Colossus as if he was a large doll. She then began to run towards the castle. The guards fired arrows at her but she just phased her body through them.
"How can you do that?" asked Colossus.
"It's a gift," replied Kitty. "Now I'll show you what a fastball special is." She then threw him at the wall of the castle. This didn't hurt him but it did a lot of damage to the wall.
Meanwhile at the side of the castle Bamf and the Fiend with no name were waiting to teleport into the castle.
"Come on Bamf get me in there so I can crack some skulls," said the Fiend with no name.
"It takes time alright," replied Bamf.
He then held onto the Fiend and he teleported into the castle. But when they got inside they found themselves surrounded by guards. Bamf began to panic but the Fiend was smiling.
"Great a scrap."
He then began to hit all of the guards. He popped out some bony claws and slashed them. He was having the time of his life.
On the other side of the castle Hysteria and Pirate Kitty had gotten to a wooden door. Pirate Kitty was a little nervous. But she had her sword in case of any danger. She had never done anything like this before. It was like a suicide mission.
"Don't worry Kitty everything is going to plan," said Hysteria.

Meanwhile in his throne room Ogun was interrupted by a few of the guards. He wasn't too pleased.
"What is the meaning of this?" asked Ogun.
"Sire there are rebels attacking," replied a Guard. "You must flee."
"Bah I will do no such thing."
"But sire."
"I will not run like a coward. Have faith in my magic."
"Yes sire."
Ogun then got up from his throne and went to a bowl on his table. He added a few things into it and he was able to see all six of them. He smiled a little.
"Seems that the pirates have gotten themselves some new allies," said Ogun. "Maybe we should change that a little." He then looked at them. "Hmm the armored one seems to be my best choice." He then put in another ingredient and said a few words.
Meanwhile Hysteria was walking with the pirate Kitty. But then he felt his body tingle. He then started to scream in pain. Kitty went to his aid.
"What's wrong?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"Make it stop!" shouted Hysteria.
He then began to transform and mutate. He was still in pain and he grew a tail. His hands began to grow claws and his helmet became fused to his head. His mouth was coming through the helmet and he had large teeth. He began to go on all fours and he had spikes growing out of him.
"Oh no," said Pirate Kitty.
Then Hysteria's transformation was complete. He was now some kind of monster and Kitty backed away from them. He roared.
"What did he do to you?"
Kitty then fled from there. Hysteria began to chase after her and she ran as fast as she could. She went outside to where the regular Kitty and Colossus had gotten to.
"What are you doing out here?" asked Kitty. "You're suppose to be inside."
"But Ogun," replied Pirate Kitty.
"What about him?"
"He's turned him into some kind of monster."
Just then Hysteria came into view. Kitty recognised him instantly and she was concerned about him.
"Holy crap!" shouted Kitty.
He then jumped at him but she caught him in mid air like he was a small child. he tried to claw his way at her.
"Please I don't want to hurt you."
But then something hit Kitty hard in the head. It was something thrown by a guard. It hit her off guard so she couldn't phase through it. She then fell onto the ground with a huge boom and she fell unconscious. This released Hysteria from her iron like grasp.
"We have to get out of here," said Pirate Kitty.
"But what of the others?" replied Colossus.
"We need to get Bamf and the Fiend. We'll have to move Kitty when we come back."
Colossus then looked at Hysteria. "Sorry my friend," said Colossus.
He tried to run through him but Hysteria jumped out of the way. He then jumped Colossus's back and started to slash him.

"I do not wish to hurt you," said Colossus. "But I must if I have to." He then grabbed Hysteria and threw him off. Hysteria was hit hard but he wasn't killed. "I am sorry that I had to do that."
Colossus and the Pirate Kitty ran into the castle. They soon found Bamf and the Fiend. Colossus picked them both up.
"What are you doing?" asked the Fiend.
"We are doing what you may call a tactical retreat," replied Colossus.
"No I'd call it running away."
"We have lost Hysteria. We must retreat and regroup before we lose anymore." He then began to run out of the castle.
But Ogun was watching them through his sorcery. He could see the giant Kitty unconscious on the ground. He began to pour some more ingredients and he started to say a spell.
Giant Kitty then began to wake up. But like Hysteria she felt pain all through her body. She cried out and she felt two bulges coming out of her sides under her arms. But the bulges grew and they seemed to be developing. They seemed to be new arms. The unstable molecules of her suit made it so that they couldn't burst of her costume. But her new arms grew to the same length as her regular ones. But the fabric stretched over her.
But then Colossus ran past her. He was amazed to see her up. But he put Bamf under the same arm as the Fiend and he grabbed her leg.
But in his throne room Ogun was interrupted half way through his spell by one of his guards. He wasn't too happy about this.
"What do you think you're doing?" asked Ogun.
"I'm just reporting," replied the Guard.
"Now thanks t you those stupid heroes are out of my range. But fortunately you aren't."
"Please sir don't."
But it was too late. The guard felt his heart stop and he fell down dead on the ground. Ogun just turned around and walked away.
A little later in the woods giant Kitty was trying to get over her new arms but it was very difficult.
"Oh my God," said Kitty. "Look what he's done to me."
"It could be an improvement," replied Bamf.
"How the hell can this be an improvement?"
"Err I withdraw my comment."
"Good."
"But now Ogun has Hysteria," said Pirate Kitty. "We have to help him.
"How do we do that?" replied Kitty. "Even if we did get him back his still part beast. How do we cure him and me?"
"Well there's two ways to do it. Ogun himself can do give him the cure or Ogun must die. When a sorcerer dies his magic dies too."
"I don't really want to kill him. But I want Hysteria back."
"That might be difficult now," replied Colossus. "He will be expecting another attack and the guards will be ready."
"Then again we need reinforcements."
"But where from?"
"I have a good idea."
Kitty then began to whisper to the others.

Inside his castle Ogun was petting the creature that had once been Hysteria. He was now his loyal pet. Ogun was having a sip of wine. He spat it back out in disgust.
"Who made this wine?" asked Ogun.
"The south sector sir," replied a Guard.
"Make sure to increase the tax in that region."
"Yes sir."
The guard then left the room and Ogun stroked Hysteria again. He roared a little and this made Ogun happy.
"You are by far my most loyal ally."
The next morning a large crate carried by some horses came to the castle. The person controlling the horse was Pirate Kitty. But she was in a disguise so no one could recognise her. She also had Colossus helping her. But he was in his flesh form and thus wasn't recognised.
But at the door they were stopped by the guards.
"Halt," said the Guard. "State your business here."
"We're here giving our lord some fine wine," replied Pirate Kitty.
"There was no scheduled delivery today."
"It's a surprise."
"Let's take a look at them."
The guard then opened the crate and he saw bottles of wine there. He didn't seem to find anything suspicious about them.
"Ok carry on."
The crate was then moved down to the wine cellar. Pirate kitty then went up to the box. She knocked it.
"Ok guys it's safe to come out," said Pirate Kitty.
The giant Kitty came out of the large crate. She had Bamf and the Fiend with her. She was now getting close to 30 feet in height.
"That wasn't too difficult," she said.
"Did you phase under the ground alright?"
"Yeah those guards didn't suspect a thing."
For an explanation when the guards checked the crate Kitty had phased herself, Bamf and the Fiend through the ground. After she was signalled to phase herself up into the crate again.
"Ok so what now?" asked the Fiend.
"Now we give Ogun a big surprise," replied Kitty. "No pun intended. For now I'll stay in here."
"Right are you ready Colossus," replied Pirate Kitty.
"Yes Katya," replied Colossus.
The pair then quietly went upstairs and they saw two guards. They both looked to be the same size as them. With one blow they were knocked out by the pair.
The fallen guards were then taken to the cellar and they had their clothes stolen and Kitty and Colossus put them on.
"Ok that's stage one completed," said Colossus.
"Ok ready guys?" replied Huge Kitty.
"Yeah," said Bamf.
Then Pirate Kitty and Colossus got some chains from the cellar and they wrapped the Fiend and Bamf with them.
"Hey not so tight."
"Sorry comrade," replied Colossus.

After Bamf and the Fiend were securely chained up Pirate Kitty and Colossus took them up to where all the guards were. The Guards were amazed to see the pair chained up.
"We have captured two of the rebels," said Kitty.
"Very good," replied a Guard. "Lord Ogun will be most pleased with you. Hell you might even get a reward."
"Where is Ogun?"
"He's in his throne room. He lives like a King up there."
"Thanks."
The pair then made their way up to Ogun's throne room. Kitty was a little nervous but Colossus' presence here put her mind at ease. But they soon entered the throne room. It had a gothic sense to it.
Ogun was sitting on his throne and Hysteria was right next to it. He was like a loyal pet and he was chewing on a bone. Ogun seemed to be pleased to see to see that Bamf and the Fiend had been captured.
"Sir we have captured two of the rebels," said Colossus.
"Good," replied Ogun. "bring them forward to me." He then did a hand signal and one of the guards began to move a little.
"What do you plan to do with them sire?"
"That is none of your business soldier."
"Of course sir."
"I think this deserves a reward. Guards kill them." Colossus then became metal and he tried to protect Kitty from the guards. Ogun was laughing. "Do you really think I was born yesterday?"
Bamf then teleported right in front of Ogun's face and punched him. This made Ogun very angry.
"You don't look so tough," said Bamf.
"Hysteria destroy him!"
Hysteria then went into action. But the Fiend got in the way. The pair began to really fight. Bamf teleprted away. A minute later he appeared in the wine cellar where giant Kitty was waiting for him.
"Bad news Kitty we've been discovered," said Bamf.
"And it was going so well," replied Kitty. "Looks like I've got to go up."
"You're phasing up?"
"No." She then began to stand up. She quickly hit the ceiling but she just punched a hole through it. "Being solid is a lot more fun."
As she stood up more and more she had to break two more ceilings until she was at her full height. She was surprised just how tall she was. But then she felt some pain in her stomach. She looked down and saw guards attacking her.
"That's no way to treat a lady." She then brushed them away with one stroke of her huge arms. "You weren't so tough."
Bamf then teleported onto her shoulder. She began to walk towards the throne room. She stayed solid so that she did as much damage as possible. She was attacked numerous times. But she would just phase through these attacks and then strike back.
When she reached the throne room she saw that it was an all out brawl. Ogun was just sitting on his throne. Buy the looked up at Kitty. The throne was high enough for her to stand up straight.
"You've changed," said Ogun. "Looks like my transformation was only half way there."

"But now kick you ass in twice as many ways," said Kitty.
"How about this I can cut you a deal," replied Ogun. "If you choose to serve me I can turn you back into a normal person. Two arms and 5'6 tall. But I know that you're still growing. If you defy me then I can increase your growth rate. In seconds you could be bigger then a planet."
"I'd rather be killed by a Sentinel."
"As you wish." He began to mutter some words. But then Hysteria jumped onto him and attacked him. Ogun threw him off and he was angry. "You dare attack your master." But then Kitty's colossal hands grabbed him. She was amazed with how easily she could pick him up.
"Let me get one thing straight Ogun," said Kitty. "No one becomes a dictator and a tyrant to a city of peaceful people. No one mutates me or my friends and especially no one hurts them. I'm giving you this one chance. Leave this place. Return it to what it was and I'll spare your life."
"You expect me to comply with a freak like you?"
"I don't appreciate being called a freak thank you very much. You're in no position to insult me."
"But I know you won't kill me."
"Shall we see about that."
"You're a hero. You wouldn't kill a defenseless man in cold blood now would you?" he then gave an evil smile.
As much as Kitty hated it he was right. She wouldn't kill him. It wasn't in her nature to kill someone in this way. The only time when she would kill is if she had no other choice.
"Damn it!" she said.
She then saw some guards coming and she quickly kept them away with her extra arms. But when she looked again Ogun had wriggled out of her hands and he was chanting something. Then Kitty could feel like her mind was on fire. She grabbed her head in her hands and she screamed in pain.
Not too far away Colossus had defeated the guards. But he could see that Kitty was in pain. Pirate Kitty was with him. Bamf had disappeared off Kitty's shoulder and gone next to them.
"What do we do?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"We have to save her," replied Colossus.
"But how?"
"Simple." he then began to run towards Ogun. But there seemed to be an invisible force field when he hit it he went flying back into the direction he had ran from. He hit the ground pretty hard but he was alright.
"That wasn't too smart," said Colossus.
"Sometimes I think you have more brawn then brain," replied Pirate Kitty.
"I think you're right."
"Maybe I can help," said Bamf.
He tried to tried to teleport to him but the force field wouldn't let him through. This also annoyed.
"Ok this hopeless," said Pirate kitty.
But giant Kitty wasn't giving up. She was fighting back the pain as much as she could she was even getting back to her feet.
"No you can't," said Ogun.
"Never underestimate will power," replied Kitty.
"No."

Kitty then slowly got up to her feet. Ogun just watched in amazement as she was fighting against his power with all of her might. She also looked angry as she went to grab him again.
"You really know how to piss me off," said Kitty.
"No one has ever withstood such pain," replied Ogun.
"Then allow me to be the first."
She then got grabbed him and began to squeeze tightly. He was coughing and wheezing a lot and she had pure anger burning in her eyes. But then she felt something on her shoulder. She looked and saw Bamf.
"What are you doing?" asked Kitty.
"Stopping you from killing him," replied Bamf.
"I'm not going to kill him."
"It doesn't look like that from where I am."
Kitty then looked at Ogun. She realised what she was doing and she was horrified. She put him down and on the ground and she shed a tear. The last thing she wanted to be was a monster.
But Ogun saw an opportunity. He went to run away. But Pirate Kitty went to get in his way. But he used his magic powers to summon a sword. He was about to slash her but Hysteria jumped at him. He sunk his sharp teeth into his neck and Ogun lay there bleeding. Pirate Kitty quickly ran to Ogun's aid but it was too late. He had already bled to death.
The first thing that happened was Kitty's two extra arms went back into her body. She was relieved to have her body back to normal. But she looked at Hysteria and he was transforming back to his human form. He slowly got to his feet and he felt groggy.
"What the bloody hell happened?" asked Hysteria.
"I'll tell you later," replied Kitty.
A few hours later people were rejoicing in the streets. They were happy that they were free of Ogun's tyranny. But just by Barricade Kitty and Hysteria were packing up to leave. Pirate Kitty, Colossus, Bamf, The Fiend and Lockheed were all there with them.
"Do you really have to go?" asked Pirate Kitty.
"Yeah," replied Kitty. "We really need to get back to our home and hopefully find a cure for my condition."
"Well it was nice to see you again after all this time. Thank you both for everything you've done for us."
"Don't mention it."
As the pair boarded the ship everyone waved goodbye to them. Kitty was sad to have to leave but she was right she couldn't stay. She just sat in the cargo hold since she was now too big to go anywhere else in the ship. She gave out a sigh and then she saw Hysteria.
"Why do I have a meaty taste in my mouth?" he asked.
"Well you almost ate Ogun," replied Kitty.
"Did I?"
"Yeah when you were a monster."
"I was a monster."
This time Kitty didn't reply. She just grabbed him and gave him a hug. He was surprised by this.
"Wow what's that for?" he asked.
"Let's just say I'm glad that you're back."

Chapter 7 The Ultimate tournament.

It took a few hours for the ship to go back through the portal that had brought them to this alternate dimension. But when they went through they came out the exact same place they had entered. This annoyed them since they were still a very long distance from Earth. But Kitty was also annoyed that she was still growing and if anything it seemed to be happening faster. She couldn't believe how small everything looked since she was 30 feet tall now.
Thankfully Kitty could still stand up straight in the cargo hold. Although she wasn't too far away from the ceiling she could still practice her fighting skills from time to time.
Hysteria would still spend some time with her. He would put the ship on autopilot and then he would go and see Kitty. She was still exercising when he got to her. He took off his helmet for her.
"Carefully Kitty," said Hysteria. "You don't want to tire yourself out now do you?" he then laughed a little.
"I don't think I can," replied Kitty. "I'm so full of energy I can't help but burn some of it off."
"Maybe the bigger you get the more energy you get."
"But that's what worries me. Even though my body has been reinforced I still shouldn't have this much energy. The littlest movements should tire me out. But right now I feel I could do the Iron man challenge three times over."
"Wait what's the iron man challenge again? I know what it is but I don't know know what it is."
"It's a challenge. First you've got to swim for two and a half miles. Then you cycle for one hundred and twelve miles and then you run a full marathon."
"Amazing. I could never do it."
Well maybe you should try."
Just then the ship began to rock sharply. Kitty fell over and fell hard onto her ass. She rubbed it as she slowly got back up.
"What the hell was that?" asked Kitty.
"I don't know but I'll find out," replied Hysteria. He then ran to the cockpit and took a look outside. He was amazed to see that they were in an asteroid field. He took it off autopilot and put on the microphone so he could communicate with Kitty. "Kitty we're in some kind asteroid field."
"Can you get us out of it?" Her voice was loud and hysteria was almost deafened from the speakers.
"Please don't shout like that."
"Oh sorry." She put the volume of her voice down.
"I'd advice you to sit down this could be a bumpy ride."
He then began to maneuver past the meteorites. This sent the ship in several different directions. Kitty was banging around in the cargo hold. This caused a few minor injuries.
"Hey watch it!" she shouted to purposely pave a point.
"Sorry just saving our lives."
He continued to maneuver the ship. One asteroid hit the ship's engine. It was damaged but not destroyed. But by that time they were out of the asteroid field. He started to inspect the damage.
"Err bad news Kitty," he said through the microphone. "We've got some damage to the engine."
"That's just great," replied Kitty sarcastically.

"I need to land to see if I can fix it," said Hysteria.
"Is there any planets that we can land on?" replied Kitty.
"Let me check." He then began to type a few things onto the computer. "Wait there is one not too far from here."
"Can you get us there in one piece?"
"Can a bear &*^% in the woods?"
"No need to put it that clearly."
Hysteria then steered the ship as best he could. The autopilot was some help and it gave him a place to land. The planet was populated and like some of the other planets it had high technology. The ship went towards a space port and Hysteria was able to carefully land it on the ground. There was a bit of a bump but Kitty still felt it.
"Ok we've touched down," said Hysteria through the microphone.
"W-where are we?" replied Kitty.
"I'm not sure. fancy havin' a look around?"
"Yeah it gets me out of here for a little while."
Hysteria then got out of the Barricade and he opened the cargo bay doors and she came out. She looked around a little. She could see different aliens all around her. She was a little curious with them all.
"Wow there are a lot of different aliens here," said Kitty.
"Well technically we're the aliens," replied Hysteria.
"Can you see if you can just fix that engine?"
"What will you do?"
"I'll have a look around. I'll see if I can find anything that can be of some use to us. Maybe even a teleporter."
"I doubt it."
As Hysteria began to look at the engine and Kitty took off to look around. She was amazed that not many people noticed her. One even bumped into her leg and just kept walking on.
"Wow even with my size I'm not drawing too much attention to myself," she thought to herself. "Its crazy a 30 foot woman walking down the street and hardly anyone notices. This I could get use to."
But then she noticed a flyer hit her. She grabbed it and picked it up. She began to look at it. But the writing on it was small. She had to get it close to her eyes and she had to squint.
"Damn my size," she thought.
But then she began to read it. It was about a tournament that was happening the next day. There was a lot of prize money. But she didn't really take much notice of it. But she put it in one of her over sized pockets for now.
But then she could feel her thirst. It had been a while since she had anything to drink and she began to look around a little.
"Let's see is there anywhere I can get a drink around here?" she thought. She kept looking and eventually she saw some kind of outside bar. "Bingo."
Kitty then walked over to it and she sat down. Again she was amazed that no one really noticed her that much. She just got the attention of the bar tender. She felt in her pocket and she still had some money.
"What will it be?" asked the Bar tender.
At first Kitty was amazed that he could speak English. But then she remembered the Translators in her ear.
"I'll have some water."

"That's it water?" asked the Bar Tender.
"Yes that's all," replied Kitty.
"Ok whatever."
The bar Tender then did Kitty a glass of water. But compared to her it was way too small.
"Any chance you could give me some more in a barrel or something?"
"It'll cost you."
"I have the money."
The bar Tender then got a barrel and filled it up with water. He then struggled to pick it up but Kitty's huge hand took it off him and she gave him the money. She then began to drink it.
"That's just what I needed," said Kitty. She then took another gulp. "Really hits the spot."
But just then Kitty noticed something. She looked to her right and saw a pair of aliens who looked similar to the Bar Tender. They seemed to have some kind of influence on him because he began to back away a little from them. She kept an eye on what was happening.
"You're late," one of the Aliens said.
"Look guys I'll have the money next week I promise," replied the Bar Tender. "You just have to give me that extra time."
"We've given you enough time. Remember miss a payment lose a limb." he then turned towards the drinkers. "Now get lost all of you before you get the same fate as him."
Most of the aliens left but Kitty stayed. She had seen similar things like this on Earth. She wouldn't let this happen to the Bar Tender.
"Didn't you hear me you overgrown freak? I said get out of here."
"I heard you and I'm ignoring you," replied Kitty. "Leave this poor man alone or else you'll have to deal with me."
"Oh is that some kind of threat?"
"Yes that's a threat. Now leave."
"You couldn't take us on."
"Oh please right now I can take craps bigger then you." She then stood up to her full height. She glared down at them. "Now leave."
The two aliens looked at each other. But they still didn't want to leave. They knew that they were going to have it the hard way with her. But then one of them pulled out a gun and fired at her. The bullets were laser but she was able to phase through the bullet so it didn't hurt her.
"Crap!" shouted the Alien.
"Oh right I forgot to tell you," replied Kitty. "I can phase through almost anything. So you can't hurt me."
"Let's get out of here."
The aliens then began to run away. Kitty watched them for a minute but then she turned back to the bar. She sat back down and kept drinking her drink. But the Bar Tender was in fear.
"What have you done?" asked the Bar Tender.
"Possible just saved your life," replied Kitty.
"No you've doomed me. Do you know who they work for?"
"No."
"Believe me when I tell you by this time tomorrow we'll both be dead. D-E-A-D dead."

"No I refuse to believe that," said Kitty. "They won't do anything."
"Believe me they will," replied the Bar tender. "The last guy who refused to pay them was dismantled by a Morane."
"A what?"
"Oh yeah you're not from this planet. They're big animals with sharp teeth and an even sharper attitude. They're extremely hard to make loyal. But that gang they have one at their beck and call."
"Well I'm going to put an end to their little spree of terror."
"But it’s impossible. Their boss is a very powerful man. Everyone knows he's their leader. But everyone's too scared to do anything about it."
"Well consider me the first to not be scared." Kitty then walked away. She turned her head towards him. "I'm going to see my friend. I'll be back in a minute. Don't do anything stupid."
Kitty continued to walk towards the Barricade. She saw Hysteria looking at the ships engine. She came up behind him and he saw her shadow and he turned around to her.
"Any good news?" asked Kitty.
"I'm afraid not," replied Hysteria.
"What's wrong?"
"Well the engine is completely knackered." Kitty was a little clueless with the word. "Basically it's gone."
"Can you repair it?"
"No it’s damaged beyond repair."
"Great so now what?"
"We have a simple problem with a simple solution. We need a new engine. The solution is buying the engine. The next problem is that we have no where near the money to buy one."
"Well there is a way."
"What's that?"
"This." Kitty then took the flyer out of her pocket and gave it to Hysteria. He began to look at it and he seemed interested in it. "It looks like we can get the money for the engine from there."
"Yeah you're right. I say we both enter so that we've got more of a chance of winning it."
"But I think we have one more problem."
"What's that?"
"I kind of saved this guy from being attacked by a gang of thugs."
"That's good not bad."
"But this gang are part of an organization of crime. I think they might give us some trouble."
"Like the mafia."
"Yes."
"Right here's what we do. Right now we enter that tournament. From the entrance fee on the leaflet we have enough money to enter us both in. But that's all we have. Then I'm going to see how much I can get the engine for."
"What do I do?"
"Try to stay out of sight."
"That's going to be difficult. A 30 foot tall woman is very hard to hide. Especially on this planet."
"I have a cunning plan."

A few minutes later Kitty was in the cargo hold again. She didn't seem to be very happy with it.
"This is a cunning plan?" asked Kitty.
"Well it keeps you out of sight," replied Hysteria. "Besides you still have room to exercise in here."
"But not for long. And this is no way a cunning plan."
"I take it you've never watched Blackadder."
"Isn't that a snake?"
"Yes but it's also the name of a show from the 80's. He always said that he had a cunning plan."
"So you're joking around?"
"Yep."
"Normally I'd laugh along with you. But right now I'm not in the mood."
"Well I can put some of that Blackadder on."
"Is it good?"
"Second best British Sitcom of all time. It even beat Red Dwarf."
"Put it on then."
Hysteria then put Blackadder on while he went out to look for a quote on the engine. He went round from place to place looking for the best deal on the engine. It was a lot more expensive then he had imagined.
"How much?" asked Hysteria.
"Two thousand eluminates," replied the alien shop keeper. "And believe me you won't get it any cheaper then that."
"Why is it so expensive compared to all the other engines."
"Well you have the MK825 ship. Those are very rare ships and the engines for them are unique."
"Oh bloody hell."
"So are you going to buy it?"
"No I don't have the money for it today. But I'm entering the big tournament. I'll have the money tomorrow."
"Fat chance you won't win that tournament."
"Believe me I can do a lot when I put my mind to it."
Meanwhile back in the Barricade Kitty was watching the Blackadder episodes. She wasn't exactly sure of the humour. But she had watched some British sitcoms when she was a member of Excalibur (From 1988-1998). But she had never seen this show while she was there.
"Hey its the sleeping guy from rat race," she thought.
Just then she heard something banging at the side of the ship. This caught her by surprise and she looked at it.
"Who's there?" she asked. But there was no answer. In the end she went to the ship's hull and she phased her head to the outside. She saw some kids and they ran away the instant they saw her. "Only kids."
She then phased her head back into the ship and she sat down and watched Blackadder again. But then she heard another banging noise. She thought that the kids were back again.
Kitty went to phase her head out of the door and she but instead of seeing children like she expected she saw heavily built aliens looking at her. They also had weapons with them.
"Oh great what do you want?" asked Kitty.
"We just came to chat," replied an Alien.

“You’re starting to sound like the credit card guys in the mall.”
“A what?”
“Never mind.”
“Now there’s two ways we can do this. You can either come to us willingly and peacefully.”
“And if I refuse?”
“Then I’ll have to get the boys to bring you down.”
Kitty then completely phased her body through the hull of the ship. When she was out the other side she stood up to her full height. She hoped that this would intimidate them enough to leave her alone.
“Listen little man,” said Kitty. She glared at them to make her seem scarier then she really was. “No one makes me go places I don’t want to go. Now I suggest you turn around and go back to wherever the hell you came from and regret threatening me.” She made it clear that she wasn’t leaving.
“Ok I guess we’ll have to do it the hard way.”
The other aliens then went towards Kitty. But she just stood there and watching them. She giggled a little.
“Come on you guys must be 6 and a half feet tall at the most. I on the other hand is over 30 feet. Believe me I suggest you back away before I hurt you.”
The aliens just looked up at her. She raised her foot up in hopes that it would scare them off. She didn’t want to hurt them in particular. She just wanted them to get away from her. She started to lower it slightly.
This made the aliens back away and this made Kitty happier. She crossed her arms and looked at them.
“Good now leave,” she said.
Kitty then turned around to go back into the ship. But then she felt a sharp pain in her back. Before she could react she fell to the ground. She fell hard and it caused her a bruise or two.
When Kitty woke up it felt like she had drunk an ocean of beer. She had a headache beyond relief. But when she tried to stand up her head hit something hard. She rubbed her head and she tried to phase through the ceiling. But she couldn’t. She tried to phase through a wall but again she couldn’t.
“What gives?” asked Kitty.
“I’m glad you could join us my dear,” replied a Voice.
She looked around and she eventually saw another alien by some bars. He was a very round alien and he was shorter then the others.
“Who are you?” she asked.
“I’m the guy who runs this hell hole of a town.”
“What’s wrong with my powers?”
“Nothing but your walls here are made out of a vibrating metal. You can’t phase through them.”
“But I’ve got another problem. I’m growing in less then a day I’ll be too big to fit in. What happens then?”
“Then you die. You made me lose some business. People might even begin to get the balls to stand up for themselves.”
“That’s a good thing.”
“Not in my book.”

As they left Kitty could only sit there. She felt very cramped and the thought of her size increasing made her feel worse. The only thing she could do was wait for Hysteria to come and rescue her.
Meanwhile Hysteria was just coming back to the Barricade. He went to the cargo bay and expected to see Kitty watching Blackadder. The DVD was still going but she wasn't there. He found this very strange.
"She could have at least switched it off before she left," said Hysteria. He then switched off the DVD. "But I wonder where she went. Probably just for a walk somewhere."
He then left the ship and he tried to look for her. But he couldn't see her. He even flew up to one of the buildings for a better view. But he still couldn't see her. He was becoming very worried.
"An almost 30 foot woman should be easy to spot," said Hysteria. "Where bloody hell has she gone?"
He didn't have any idea that she was being held captive. Kitty was thinking about everyway she could get out. But when she tried to escape she couldn't. But she didn't spend all that time with the X-Men to let something like this stop her. She noticed a guard not too far away from where she was. She wanted to get his attention.
"Guard," said Kitty.
"What do you want?" he grunted.
"I need some food."
"Tough I've been told not to feed the freak."
"Oh I'm far from a freak."
"I doubt it."
"But think about it I could do whatever you want. i can tell you're a very lonely person. How long as it been since you've been with another woman?"
"A what?"
"A female."
"Well I admit it’s been a while."
"Since I don't have long left to live since I'm going to suffocate in here when I get too big I think I need a little loving. I know you need it a lot more then I do." She then smiled at him.
"No I can't."
"Come on." Kitty then lowered the zipper on her costume. "You know you want to. I don't bite."
She then went to get her breasts out. This was all that the guard needed. He ran to the cage door and went to kitty. She began to kiss through the bars. She could only just get her lips through them. She then used her finger to knock the Guard out. He was out instantly.
"That was disgusting," said Kitty.
She then got the keys from the Guard's belt. But before she got out she zipped her costume back up. She was disgusted with what she had just done. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
As she opened the door she crawled out of the cell. Thankfully the materials on the wall was brick instead of the vibrating metal. She stood up and phased through the walls. She climbed up as much as she could and she eventually reached the top. When she did get there she stretched her body.
"Oh that feels so much better."
But she didn't recognise where she was.

"Great I'm lost," said Kitty.
She looked around to see if she could see the port where the ships were. But what she could see was an endless sea of people walking around outside stores. She gave out a sigh and she tried to walk. But she was having some difficulties putting her foot down because people kept getting in the way before she could do anything.
"Hey careful."
She continued to walk but she knew that she was lost. She still didn't know where she was and she had to stop for directions. She crouched down and tried to get the aliens' attention. But no one stopped to help her.
In the end Kitty had to grab someone and she then stood up again. She could see that the alien was in fear.
"I'm not going to hurt you," she said.
"W-what do you want?" asked the Alien.
"I just want directions."
"Yeah sure I can do that."
"Which way is the port where all the space ships are?"
"That way." He then pointed towards the way Kitty was walking to. "But its a long way."
"How far?"
"About 100 miles."
"What?"
"It's 100 miles from here."
"Even I can't walk that far. Is there some kind of transportation I can take? Or a teleporter?"
"There's a bus way that can get you there in a few minutes."
"Great I'll take that."
"But you're a little big for it."
"Well is there anything else I can take?"
"The bulk bus way can get you there. But it's a lot slower then the regular bus way."
"Is it faster then walking?"
"Yes."
"Then I'll go that way."
"Now can you put me down please?"
"I have one more question. Which way is it to the Bulk Bus way?"
"That way." He pointed to another direction.
"Thank you for your time."
She then carefully put him down and she began to walk towards the bulk bus network. She could see a queue of aliens with large objects with them. She guessed that she would be in the cargo hold like on the Barricade. She wasn't looking forward to it.
Eventually she was put in a large vehicle. As she thought she was in the cargo hold. There was a high ceiling so she was able to stand up properly. But she preferred to sit down.
But as the ship began to move some of the objects fell onto her. She was able to phase herself through them so it didn't cause her any harm. If anything it was an annoyance.
"Ok I'm going to be in here for a while," she said.

Kitty sat there for what seemed to be hours. She could feel her body growing. She hated to think how tall she would be when she got out. She knew that she was growing because everything around her was slowly shrinking. She tried to put it into the back of her mind. But no matter how much she tried it was always there in her mind.
But then she felt the ship stopping and the cargo bay doors were opened. She was glad and she quickly stood up. Things did look a little smaller but the change wasn't too great.
But what Kitty was relieved to see was the Barricade over the horizon. She stepped out of the ship and walked towards it. Like always she was careful with where she was putting her feet. She didn't want to accidentally crush anyone below her.
When she got to the Barricade she saw Hysteria sitting down looking at the ships engines. The next thing he knew he was picked up and hugged by Kitty. This surprised him greatly.
"Kitty what are you doing?" asked Hysteria.
"Hugging you silly," replied Kitty. "I'm just so glad to see you. How long have I been gone for?"
"About a day."
"And you didn't even look for me?"
"I thought you were just having a walk."
"Well I was held captive."
"Wow you were captured? How did they even move you? No offence but you're not exactly the lightest person in the universe."
"I don't know I just woke up in a cell." She then began to think a little. "When did that tournament start?"
"In a few hours."
"Crap we've got to get ourselves ready."
"Aren't you worried about being kidnapped again?"
"We still need to get away from here. The only way to do that is to win the prize money and get yourself a new engine."
"Ok."
The pair then went to the arena where there were aliens queuing up to get inside. Hysteria and Kitty were taken to an entrance for the competitors. They saw that some of the others looked tough. But Kitty was unmoved. She had thought opponents tougher then them when she was normal size. Now that she was bigger and stronger they seemed less threatening.
They eventually came to register. He sat there and had a space age pen. He looked at them both.
"Name," he said.
"Hysteria," replied Hysteria.
"And?"
"Kitty Pryde," replied Kitty.
"You're on the list. You will be called out to the qualifying hall. Only the top 16 get to go to the tournament."
"Ok."
"Next!"
Kitty and Hysteria walked away. Kitty wasn't really looking were she was going and she hit her head on a sign on the ceiling. This caused her some pain and she staggered a little.

Hysteria quickly saw what had happened and he went over to Kitty. She was staggering a little from hitting her head. He kept a distance in case she accidentally hit him with her insanely long legs.
"Kitty are you alright?" asked Hysteria.
"Yeah I'm fine," replied Kitty. "But I think I hit my head pretty badly. It's hurting like hell."
"Are you sure you're going to be fine?"
"Yes I just need to have a sit down for a minute."
"Ok I'll meet you in the qualifying stages."
Kitty then went over to one of the walls and she sat down. Hysteria went off to the qualifying rounds. But before he went he was weighed first. He didn't know why he had to do this at first. There was an alien writing something down on a computer screen.
"What's all this about?" he asked.
"Just seeing how much you weigh," replied the Alien.
"Why?"
"The tournament is split into three different categories. Since it would be unfair if a giant opponent fought a tiny one."
"Ok what class am I?"
"You're in the middle class."
"Good."
"Now walk into the middle tunnel for me please."
Hysteria then began to walk down the tunnel. He could see other opponents doing the same. When he got to the end he was written onto a tournament board. He didn't recognise the name of the guy he was fighting. But he could see that there were sixteen groups of people on the board.
Meanwhile Kitty had slowly recovered from her head trauma. She began to walk down the same way hysteria had gone. She eventually got weighed and the Alien looked at it.
"Ok you weigh 13 tonnes and 1154 pounds," he said.
"Don't remind me," replied Kitty.
"Wait a minute you just gained an extra 6 pounds. Is that even possible? I'll get my supervisor to look at this."
"No its working fine. I'm just growing."
"Oh right. Go down the right corridor for me please."
Kitty did go down the corridor. She expected to see Hysteria but instead she saw aliens that were close to her size. Some were bigger then her some were smaller then her. One was head and shoulders above her. He seemed to have an eye on her. he went over to her and had some metal barrels in his hands. He easily crushed them in his hand.
"Hi Little Lady," he said. "I'm guessing you're here to compete."
"Yeah that's why I'm here," replied Kitty.
"A little word of advise. Don't get your hopes up too much. I've seen guys who come here determined to win. But they fall in the qualifiers."
"I'll keep that in mind."
"And do you want to go out for a Linkol after the fights?"
"No thanks I'm getting off this station ASAP."
"So you're passing me?"
"Yeah."

Kitty wasn’t too impressed with the giant alien hitting on her. She didn’t feel comfortable right now. With her increasing height it made her feel a little insecure. But she tried to put it out of her mind.
“So what’s your answer?” asked the Giant Alien.
“No thanks,” replied Kitty. “Nothing against you but I already have someone who has a special place in my heart.”
“Right but if you ever change your mind just ask.”
The giant alien walked away and Kitty looked to see who she was fighting. The names she couldn’t pronounce but she kept them in mind. But while she waited for her own match she would watch other fights. She saw a few of them that seemed to be untouchable.
“Miss Kitty Pryde can you come to stage four please,” said a Voice through a speaker. “May Ujahef also come?”
Kitty went to the fourth stage and she already saw her opponent waiting for her. He was shorter then her but he had four octopus like tentacles. He looked tough but she didn’t seemed to be moved.
There was a referee just outside the ring. The Ring itself was a square that had tiles on the ground.
“The only ways to defeat your opponent is knock out, submission or ring out,” said the Referee. “You are not allowed to kill your opponent unless you have no other choice. There is no interference. Weapons are legal. Now begin.”
Ujahef then ran at Kitty. He spun his tentacles around as he ran towards her. She just stood there and waited for him. He thought he would have it easy. But when he went to hit her she phased through him and he accidentally ran out of the ring. Kitty then took one look at him.
“Hey how did you do that?” asked Ujahef.
“Trade secret,” replied Kitty.
She then walked out of the ring.
Meanwhile in the other room Hysteria was about to have his first qualifying match. He had an opponent who had a whip. He began to show off his techniques to the other fighters. But Hysteria just pulled out a blaster and hit him with a stun bullet. His opponent went down instantly and he was out cold.
“Game set and match,” said Hysteria.
As the qualifying rounds went on Kitty and Hysteria won their matches. Some were a lot easier then others. It took over an hour to get the final sixteen for each weight-class. Neither of them were the favourites to win since this was their first time and several of the others were veterans of the tournament.
The pair met just outside before the main arena. They were happy to see each other and Kitty smiled down at him.
“So how did you get on?” asked Kitty.
“I qualified,” replied Hysteria. “You?”
“The same.”
“Cool guess we might win double.”
“Maybe but there’s a lot of tough fighters out there. Most of them are bigger then me for now.”
“Don’t worry soon you’ll be bigger then them.”
“Please don’t remind me.”

“I wonder who we’ll get in the first round,” said Kitty.
“Probably a guy who’s won it five years in a row,” replied Hysteria. “That would be sod’s law.”
“What’s sod’s law?”
“Well it’s a little hard to explain. Imagine you’re in a car at a t junction. You want to turn left. At first there’s no traffic but when you get there there’s a mile of traffic before you can even get out. Another example is like a race. There’s 70 laps and you’re in first for the first 67 laps but three laps before the end your engine goes.”
“Ok.”
“You could say typical.”
“Can all qualified fighters please come into the arena,” said the Overhead voice. “If you are not there within five minutes you will be disqualified.”
“That’s us,” said Hysteria.
“And it looks like these guys don’t screw around,” replied Kitty.
The pair quickly went to the centre of the arena. In total there were forty eight fighters there. There was sixteen for each weight class. They could see fighters who ranged from a foot to 45 feet in height. Some of them looked deadly and the pair tried to ignore them as best as they could.
As the fighters stepped up for the numbers it eventually came to the turn of Hysteria. He went into the box to reach for a ball. Each ball had a number on it and it would say who they were fighting against.
“Number 12,” said Hysteria when he took the ball out of the box.
“Thank you,” replied the referee. “Currently no one has picked out number 11 yet. You will be informed in a few minutes who your opponent will be.”
“Cheers.”
Hysteria did wait a few minutes and he got drawn out against a being called Ezekiel. He seemed to be a power fighter more then anything. He was strong but Hysteria noticed that he didn’t have much speed.
A few minutes later it was the heavyweight division’s turn to take their numbers. Several fighters went before Kitty. But when it came to her turn she picked out a number. She seemed happy with it when she took it out.
“What number do you have?” asked the Referee.
“The number five,” replied Kitty.
“Thank you Miss Pryde. You will be fighting the amazing Amanol.”
“I can hardly wait.” She said this with some sarcasm in her voice. “Out of curiosity where do I go when I’m not fighting?”
“There’s a fighters’ quad where you can get refreshments. You will be called out for each of your matches.”
“Thank you.”
A few minutes later Kitty was in the quad with hysteria. There was a window where all the fighters could watch the fights below. Hysteria couldn’t get a good view so Kitty picked him up and put him on her shoulder.
“How’s that?” asked Kitty.
“Loads better thanks,” replied Hysteria. “I feel tiny compared to you right now.” He then laughed a little.
“Well you are tiny in my view.”
“But I make up for it in another region.”

"HYSTERIA!" shouted Kitty.
"I'm only pulling your leg," replied Hysteria. "But have you heard? Entering the arena you get your own entrance theme."
"A what?"
"Music that comes on when you enter the arena. The other fighters are already picking out theirs."
"Do you think we could get one we liked?"
"Well my suit has a built in MP3 player. I can just get one of the songs off there for you."
"Thanks. Which one did you want?"

"For who?"
"Too Cool. they were a wrestling tag team a while back."
"Isn't wrestling fake?"
"Yeah but I watched a video where things went wrong. One or two of them broke their ankles."
"Well let's see what you've got."
A few minutes of picking Kitty found a song that she liked. Hysteria took their songs to the people who did the sounds and they were able to put it on for them when they would enter.
When the tournament started first off it was the lightweight battles for the smaller fighters. When the first round of that was over it was the start of the middleweight competition.
Hysteria had to wait for his chance to go into the arena. But the time finally came and Kitty squatted down and gave him a little hug. She even gave him a little peck on his helmet.
"What's that for?" asked Hysteria.
"Luck silly," replied Kitty.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
Hysteria then heard his number called out. "Right that's me."
"If you lose I'll kill you."
"You're joking right?"
"Yes."
The first to enter the arena was Hysteria's opponent Ezekiel. he seemed to be a crowd favourite as he walked down in to the arena. the arena floor seemed to be like a rock wasteland. But the arena could be changed for each fight.
Ezekiel was a big built bull of an alien. He had horns and he seemed to have a few spikes coming out of his body. When he was in the arena he raised up his arms to his powerful entrance theme.
But then the hip-hop like music for Hysteria came on. The crowd was a little unsure what to make of this and Hysteria walked down to the arena. He was dancing a little. Kitty was watching him from the viewing room and she was chuckling a little. She knew that hysteria didn't really like hip hop that much but he thought this theme was cool.
"Making his way to the arena," said the Announcer. "From Earth weighing in at 220 lbs. Hysteria!"

As Hysteria walked down to the arena. A few people booed at him but he kept going. He eventually got there and he held his arms up. This got him a few more boos but he didn't really care.
He then looked at Ezekiel and he chuckled a little. But Ezekiel looked like he was ready for action. His spikes grew a little but this didn't intimidate Hysteria at all. he just looked at him.
"Are you suppose to be scary?" asked Hysteria.
"No not really," replied Ezekiel. "Just to intimidate."
"Then you failed."
Just then they heard a bell and this meant that the match had started. The pair then went to fight each other. Ezekiel was throwing spikes at Hysteria but he was shooting them out of the air.
But then Ezekiel made one of his spikes into a spear and he threw it at Hysteria. He was just able to dodge it. But this gave Ezekiel time to run at him and take him down.
Hysteria was in a world of his own for a moment. But he soon came back into it and punched him back. Hysteria was trying to remember the training that Kitty had given him.
But then Ezekiel pulled out a spike and used it to slice off Hysteria's right forearm. He went down in pain over his lost limb. the crowd seemed to love it. But Hysteria was in pain.
Meanwhile in the fighter's lounge Kitty was watching what was happening. She couldn't believe what she had just seen and she saw one of the officials. She squatted down to him and she was hysterical.
"You have to stop this match," she said.
"Why?" replied the Official.
"My friend has just lost part of his arm. This can't go on."
"The only way the match can be stopped is either a knock out, submission or forfeit. Until one of those happens then the match continues."
Kitty then stood up and looked over at the match. She had a tear in her eye and she hoped that he would be alright.
"Please don't die," she said under her breath.
But Ezekiel went to Hysteria. He grabbed him by the neck and picked him up off his feet.
"Give up?" asked Ezekiel.
"No chance," replied Hysteria.
"Then I'll have to keep chopping off your limbs."
"Just before you do. Let me ask you. Do you know what a Stone Cold Stunner is my friend?"
"No."
Just then Hysteria kicked Ezekiel in the gut. This made him hold his gut in pain and let go of Hysteria. He then did a one armed stunner on Ezekiel. This caused him a lot of pain but it was very effective. (Here's what the stunner looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWgbBgjE05I)
Ezekiel was down and now Hysteria could focus more on his lost limb. But as the referee began to count to ten Hysteria was getting a little weak with blood loss. The bell rang again to indicate the winner.
"Here is your winner," said the Announcer. "Hysteria!"
The crowd cheered a little.

But the moment Hysteria was announced the winner he went down on the ground. Officials quickly went to the arena to take him away. He had lost quite a lot of blood and was now missing his forearm. They did pick up his lost forearm and they took him to a medi-bay.
Inside they began to try and reattach Hysteria's arm. Since his powers meant that none of their sleeping pills worked on him he could feel the pain of the procedure. But they did give him powerful painkillers that did help.
But outside the Medi-Bay Kitty was out there. She was extremely worried about him. She wanted to go inside but Officials made her stop. She was getting very impatient.
"Let me in there now," said Kitty. "If you don't I'm going to go in there anyway." She was about to phase through the wall.
"No stop," replied an Official. "This is a very delicate procedure. If you interrupt it you may be putting your friend's life at risk."
"No."
"Now just relax a little. Your friend couldn't be in better hands. Hysterical will be good in no time."
"Hysteria."
"What?"
"His code-name is Hysteria."
"Right as I said they should be finished in no time."
Just then a green light came on. This meant it was now safe to come in. kitty took no time in phasing through the wall. But she then saw Hysteria lying on the bed. He still had his armour on. But where his forearm had been was now a gold colour robotic forearm.
"Hysteria are you alright?" asked Kitty.
"Yeah I'm fine," replied Hysteria. "Its just that I don't have my right forearm."
"Couldn't they reattach it?"
"They could have but it would have taken too long so they gave me this and we need to prize money."
"Don't be stupid."
"Too bloody late."
"Can you still fight?"
"Just need to fix my suit a little then I'll be ready."
But then another Official came up behind Kitty. He had to tap the back of her shin to get her attention.
"Erm Kitty Pryde?" he asked.
"Yes," replied Kitty.
"Your match is coming up next."
"Ok." She then turned back to Hysteria. "Guess I've gotta go now. I hope you get better."
"I will do," replied Hysteria. "Good luck."
"Thank you."
Kitty then followed the Official to the part where all the fighters were. The previous match hadn't quite finished yet and she watched the rest of it. In the end the fighter who had been hitting on her won. But he got boos from the crowd as he walked away.
"Come on Kitty you can do this," she thought.
She then gave out a sigh as she began to get herself ready for her match. She didn't want to lose any of her limbs like Hysteria had.

Kitty soon went to the backstage where Amanol her opponent was waiting for her. He seemed to be a big dragon like creature with huge muscles. She could instantly tell that she didn't have the strength advantage in this fight.
"So I'm fighting you?" asked Amanol.
"Yep little old me," replied Kitty.
"You don't look too tough. But looks can be deceiving."
"That's right."
"I don't know if you got here by look or by skill. But you got here so that must mean something."
"Yeah if I was truly weak I wouldn't have gotten through the qualifiers."
"May the best man win."
"I'm not a man."
"Oh you're a female of your species."
"Yep so to rephrase your statement may the best person win."
"Ok."
Just then Amanol's entrance music came on. He walked out into the arena. he got cheers from the fans even though he was a new face. Kitty felt a little nervous but she was able to bottle it up.
Just then What I've Done by Linkin Park came on. She knew that it was her turn to walk out into the arena.
"Entering the arena from Earth weighing in at 5 tons 1269 pounds," said the Announcer. "Kitty Pryde."
She didn't expect to get an applause off anyone. But she could hear people cheering for her. This made her feel warm inside. She shed a tear before entering the arena.
The arena itself had changed. It was now a dense jungle. It was another field for fighting. Kitty looked at it a little. Some of the trees would restrict her movement but she didn't think she would have a problem.
"So this is it?" asked Amanol.
"Sure looks like it," replied Kitty.
"Good luck."
"You too."
Just then a bell rang and this started the fight off. Amanol went to punch Kitty but she just phased through it. he was amazed by this and then he smiled a little at her. He clapped his hands.
"So that's how you got this far," he said.
"You can't hurt what you can't touch," replied Kitty.
"So you let your opponent tire themselves out?"
"No." She then gave him an uppercut. This sent him flying. "I've got moves of my own."
Amanol began to recover from this attack. He laughed a little and he put his jaw right.
"I should have seen that coming," said Amanol.
"So you should."
Just then Amanol grabbed a tree and swung at Kitty. She phased herself at the very last second.
"But you saw that one coming."
Kitty then grabbed the tree.
"Watch this," she said.
She then phased the tree from his hands and she swung at him.
