** #1153012 Not An Image ** The official Newspaper of the A-1 Writing Academy From The Department of Poetry September 1, 2007 The Department of Poetry offers five interactive twelve-session workshops with more planned in the future. These workshops will introduce beginners to a variety of poetic techniques and styles, while also providing a forum for experienced poets to expand their skills through encouraging and insightful commentary on assignments. In addition, there will be a healthy dose of creativity to keep your muse engaged and plenty of fun along the way. Come on by and let us help you load your writer’s toolbox. Dave katherinea Important Notice: The A-1 Writing Academy is pleased to announce the 2007-2008 "Poetry Student of the Year" Competition and Prize. From October 1st, 2007 through September 20th, 2008, Academy students who are enrolled in at least one Poetry course for each of the four terms of our Academy year within our Department of Poetry (and other competition requirements) will be invited to compete for "Raven's Poetry Prize", (a very special gift to our Academy), which will recognize the outstanding poetry student for the year. Rules, highlights, information, and news of this exciting competition can be found in only one place: "The Academy News"!
