The Gift
by aarp
Rated: 13+ | Poetry | Philosophy | #1295681
A philosophy about living.
Life is a gift be sure to enjoy,
it’s easy to take it for granted,
tomorrow will always come.
No matter your political or religious belief
don’t worry, have fun, seek the relief
from the day to day hassles and worries,
life is precious and oh so short,
don’t dare be in a hurry.

When the end will come only God knows
better to live your highs and avoid the lows.
Cause your troubles will always be there
knocking on your door, the Devil will care.
Best beware of his fiery glare
casting its gloom, causing despair.
Look him in the eyes, cast him aside
Life is a gift be sure to enjoy it.
