Ramble
I cast off work today for a ramble in the rain. Shall I count it loss or gain to recall with bliss this thunderous morning, tramping the circle, dancing home all soaked to the skin. Presidents pass, and kings die, everything withers away. I cling to the crust of small pleasures, mud and water, joy portioned on a tinier scale. I sow the fruits of everyday magic and gather the yield into my yearning arms. Prompt Subject: You Only Live Once (interpret at will) Word(s) to use: ramble Word(s) not to use: live, life, once, last, best, worst Other requirements/restrictions: at least 15 lines
