Mango Moon
they say it's not the heat but the humidity

Mango Moon

the air warm and moist
sticky on the skin
like mango syrup

turning off the A/C
I revel in the heat

the full July moon
ripens like a perfect fruit
ready for plucking

in the shimmer before the storm
I puddle away
