Emotion
A few days ago, I got into a debate with a member of this site. I was having a good time with ideological aspects of this back and forth, when it was abruptly terminated. I was accused of being rude, for pointing out certain errors in their presentation. These errors were not figments of my interpretation, rather they were errors of definition, and I hoped they would appreciate having the correct definition, based on historic acceptance of the term. I also defined the person as obviously having much to learn, and this was the truth based on their consistent errors. It was not important I win this debate, as time will judge if I am correct or not. However, as a concerned human, for another human, I merely wished to see him or her have true information upon which to base his or her decisions. As I have always said, “It does not matter what we think or believe it matters what is true”. Result: I was rude and unworthy of further discourse. Sadness, sadness they refuse to listen, and when it is pointed out they refuse to listen…they refuse to listen. Please my fellow writers think about this, for it is vital to all things having to do with humankind. It is far better to have no opinion, than a wrong opinion, and on that note, I close.
