The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears....John Vance Cheney

Prism

When a soul shatters,
cleaves apart,
it is a prism.

The light, refracted
in rainbows,
pours out through the skin.

This coat of colors,
blot of Cain,
makes us most human.
