A Child's Cry
Something that can no longer be ignored.

A child cries out in the night
Feeling an iron hand.
Looking through a bruised eye,
She knows she mustn't stand,
Against the act she knows is wrong.

Oh God, can't you see
What's been happening for so long?
The children are our future,
We mustn't treat them bad.
No longer can they try,
They've lost all the love they had.
