Abusive Love
This poem is about my own experience with love and abuse.

Sometimes love can be so unfair.
Do you take a chance or do you dare?
You feel empty inside as though you have no heart.
These harsh ugly words are tearing you apart.
The fighting and the beatings make you feel the way you do.
When he says the words I love you, it sounds so untrue.
Don’t stick around and think the abuse will end.
Break this horrible pattern, break this trend.
It hurts inside to go through any kind of abuse.
Leave and show him that for this kind of love, you have no use.
