SWEET SIXTEEN
Yes, she is sweet sixteen, still, She’s surely sour sometimes. Those moments, hardest ones, seem Surprising, sinister. She cries, she laughs suddenly. She’s disgusting, stubborn. Senselessly shocking she is, Showing gross tactlessness. Shall she cause someone’s swooning? Shall as spinster she stay? Foolish is speculation; Let’s assume she succeeds. * Written in 7-6-7-6 syllabic format • Written for “Letters 'R Us” weekly contest, "Invalid Item" M C Gupta 3 August 2007
