The Mirror
Sometimes it's hard to face your self

Who is this woman
In the looking glass mirror?
The vision is foggy,
Yet so transparently clear.
Her emotions are storming,
No peace in her head.
The nightmares are coming
When she lies in her bed.
The reflection is strange,
So terribly cold.
No one can help her,
Her story's been told.

Who is this woman?
I sure wish I knew.
She looks so familiar,
As most people do.
Her face shows her sorrow,
In the moon's caressing light.
I wish I could hold her
And say, "It's alright."
Her image is sad,
There's fear in her eyes.
She looks back on her life,
She turns away and cries.
"Will peace ever come?"
She silently asks.
Everyday life
In an incredible task.

Who is this woman
Who yearns to be free?
That tortured, haunted woman,
Will always be me.
