A/N: Okay, so I'm not going to claim to be an avid poet, nor can I claim this as my first poem. Let's just say I only dabble in song lyrics when inspiration happens to strike - hopefully that's an appropriate warning. However, I thought this was pretty good and wouldn't mind some feedback.
You could be right about me
I could be nothing now
But now isn’t tomorrow, next week,
Or years ahead when
I might be your distant memory
And you could be right
I could never make it
But don’t say never
When you don’t know more than
Any one else about what I could be
But you’re wrong
It’s not impossible
If you knew me like you claim
You’d know
Impossible doesn’t apply to me
Chorus:
So just wait, you’ll see
I’m gonna make it some day
Just wait, you’ll see
This isn’t the last you’ve heard of me
And just wait, you’ll see
My time will come around
I am well aware, it won’t be easy
And you’re crazy for believing
I thought anything else
I’ve thought this through, and I’ve made plans
That don’t include cynics like you
That’s right, one day
When we’re both on our way
You could be making it in the world
But you’ll turn around
And I’ll already be there
