I Visited Very Sara’s Port
Rated: E | Poetry | Writing.Com | #1302529
Poem about a spur of the moment decision
I visited Very Sara’s Port today.
It was a spur of the moment decision,
I was reading blogs
and in the one I viewed there was a link
so I clicked it on.

I read a few items,
feeling sad
or perhaps nostalgic,
I’m not sure which …
I think I was looking for something,
but I don’t know what.

It’s been an interesting week,
I received a e-mail yesterday about a memorial
service this coming Friday,
I’ve know him
and his family for years
we’re kinsman in faith,
with a common interest.

Perhaps that’s why I visited
Very Sara’s port,
or perhaps
it had something to do with a book
I came across today,
I was looking for something to read
and I rediscovered
Life, Death and Immortality:
The Journey of the Soul.

Anyway,
I visited Very Sara’s port today,
I read a couple of poems
and a short story,
I still feel nostalgic,
I miss her,
but I’m sure
that in one of the gardens of paradise
she is composing odes
in rainbow shades of light.
