We took a walk,
the kids and I, to see a deer. The trail was easy and short. We saw a squirrel, the kids and I, but not a deer. We climbed a hill. We noticed the flowers and the trees, the kids and I, but not the deer behind the rocks. We came upon an old crumbling log cabin. The kids and I, but not a deer. We sat on the corner of the old cabin, built by a trapper long ago. We saw chipmunks playing on the logs, the kids and I, but saw not a deer. We returned to camp, the kids and I, and by our tent we saw our deer, the kids and I.
