In the Heat
inspired by being able to drive again

Back on the road
Again
Better insured. More’s the pity
For those one night pick ups
In the heat
Those fencing lessons in the park
Teach me how to be more
Hard line,
More destructive.
I’d have broken my own windows over you.
Not anymore.
Your one liners and bodily harm are more ineffective
Than my masochism caught
In the heat
I drive away
Drive to home and pray that someone else will be there
In the heat.
