It was silly to think it could work.
It was silly to hope. Silly me, thinking love is real. Silly me, letting my heart run away. Let's not exist anymore. Let's find eternity in never. Silly me, thinking the stars were mine to behold. Silly me, letting the moon enchant me. I'll walk away now. I'll stumble into myself along the way. Silly me, thinking time wouldn't act accordingly. Silly me, trusting a dream. The lunar bodies can laugh now. The Earth can kiss the sun. Silly me, thinking it was real. Silly me, forgetting my past. We'll find a hollow tree in a hollow forest. We'll put my hollow heart in the hollow boat and push it down the falls. Silly me, thinking of you. Silly me, lying down in the meadow. I can watch the music floating by me. I can snatch a memory from the wind. Silly me, thinking in the night. Silly me, touching your lips. Let's dive into the ocean and meet the lost souls. Let's walk into the fire and dance the night away. Silly me, thinking things could change. Silly me, letting my guard down. We can laugh at nothing in a room full of everything. We can hold on to a sliver when the glass breaks. Silly me, thinking love was done being cruel. Silly me, talking to an occupied space. I'll touch your hair. I'll say goodnight. Silly me, thinking those eyes were mine. Silly me, taking your hand. We should sit and watch the world turn in the opposite direction. We should run against the gravity and float into the cold. Silly me, thinking about the dark. Silly me, breathing you in. Silly me, thinking I was special. Silly me, silly me. Silly me, thinking.
