About inner turmoil and self-realization

And today this child ran alone threw hallways of different light. Wandering amongst the changes that seem so familiar its sick. If one would spark, maybe. How do you find yourself if you aren't allowed? You're told it's so simple. My indifference on this subject begs to differ. Now this room is so big and I'm scared to leave. Is it okay if I need you? No too soon I figure. I would like to see you there in my hallways, in my rooms. I can be a bit harsh when upset, vindictive and all but it's not your fault. Your lucky charms must have been eaten away. Poor things trying and feeling their way through puddles and mud. Can't help but smile and watch, after all it could always be worse, there could be so many scars. I wonder how many days I can go until the flashes hurt to much and my eyes stay closed?
