A Quest

To all concerned

The Lord has sent me on a quest
Why he has sent me I do not know
And where it is I do not want to go
But I have faith that he knows best

It will take me from all that I love
and strands me for many years
He is my loving father from above
His Omni-presence will still my fears

I don't know what my tasks are there
But in his time I'm sure that I'll see
I trust in him and I am in his care
for I love him and I know he loves me

Don't be sad for me that I must leave
When my quest is finished I will return
Though our time apart I cannot retrieve
You’re in my heart and my love will burn
