(This is not relating to any particular war but is just a poem about general conflict)
Five thousand went to war But only five are left... They rang out the horns but they all went deaf. They spit hatred and rage all killing for something, Whatever they want they're all killing for nothing. It was worth it... Five thousand dead on the ground, Minus five left standing deaf to the sounds. It was worth it... The bodies, the blood and the pain. It was worth it... The killings all made in vain. Control, they won but at what a cost? It's a shame in the process so much was lost. How much worth on one piece of land? So many die to reach the promised land? Maybe religion is within and not on the ground. Maybe deity does not lie in sight or sound. Rip all else away, leave an abyss of space. Maybe then we forget religion and race. The only truth is in emptiness, that's all you need. The only thing we've achieved is excelling at greed.
