Fear not the veil of Death
For she is gentle And will welcome you With open arms. She will kiss your brow, And whisper tenderly Before ushering you on To your own Heaven. But Pain is cruel And would see you suffer Before his Sister comes To claim her just reward. He will relish in your misery And see the worst in you. And then, before the end, He will claim amends. But Death has many friends, For though her dark form Is feared by many, You needn’t her nor the others. Hope will bring aid And he will light thee With warm feathers for wings And send you forth. He will help you be strong And ensure a safe admittance For Hope is kind And Hope is not blind. His mother, Faith, is wise. She is who sends Hope To guide you to Death Without Pain. Faith is bold and unyielding In the light of torture And she will always be there Till the bitter end. Fear not the veil of Death For Pain may torment And Harm you till the end, Hope and Faith will be there. Fear not the Veil of Death.
