A Poem for My Beloved

Through your eyes I see your soul
Two endless pools in which I drown
I looked at you, you looked at me
And stole my heart without a sound
For years we have stood hand in hand
My love for you forever growing
And as time passes, we persist
A future together we are sewing
In your embrace I feel your warmth
It flows through me like a song
And in your kiss I feel your love
That I seemed to feel all along
A sad thought it always is
That we must be apart
But no matter how far away you are
You are always in my heart
Your eyes, your touch, your skin so soft
Your kiss so warm and tender
And when I’m with you I fill with joy
To be witnessing your splendor
Without you I am so lost
That none should ever find me
But when you hold my hand in yours
My worries are all behind me
So to end this I must say
The love I feel is true
And if I ever feel alone
I need just think of you
