Subscribers and Friends:

Every Newspaper has, as a matter of public relations, published its current financial condition for its subscribers and readers. Our organization is a public service organization, and we feel it only appropriate for our donors, members, friends and subscribers to know where their GPs go. Because the first official activity of the Friends of the Academy (FOTA) is this newspaper, the vast majority of expenditures (minus FOTA Advertising, and GP gifts to the A-1 Writing Academy) represent the start-up costs for "The Academy News".

Each year, the Friends of the Academy will publish a Statement of Financial Condition in the First Edition of the Year called

As you can clearly see, the GPs donated have gone to the creation and start-up of this Newspaper. Our projected per edition expense cost is less than 200,000GP. We hope that you will consider helping us bring this important information source to the members, students, faculty, staff and friends of the A-1 Academy, as well as our WDC community. Your donations help FOTA provide this newspaper, as well as to support the on-going needs and financial costs of the A-1 Writing Academy. Thank you for your generosity.
