A TRIP TO THE DOCTOR.
I've been to the doctor's, I'm so sick with the 'flu. I've acute tonsillitis, (And my nose is cute too). He gave me some pills, And said, "Go home to bed. "But first get these x-rays, "And bring them back to be read". I've been out all day long Getting chest pictures done, While waiting to get them, I read a book! Oh what fun! X-rays back to the doc, And he just shook his head. "You look worse now than earlier, "You should be in bed!" "But maybe a blood test, "Will show us today, "What condition you are in.... "Get these right away!" I went to Pathology They gave me needles I hate, Put my blood in a test tube, And told me to wait. A few hours later I'm with dear Dr Fred. He's livid by now ... "You should be in bed!" Why oh why, do our doctors Give us orders like these? Then send us for tests While we cough and we sneeze. I'd be better by now If I did what Gran said, "Have a nice cup of tea, Dear, "And go straight off to bed!" ** #1501613 Not An Image **
