MIDNIGHT THOUGHTS
In the solitude of night, What thoughts come to the mind: Those that are the darkest ones, Or, of romantic kind? There are some people who are Prone to worry too deep. Due to this they are deprived Of a blissful sound sleep. Then there are the blessed ones Who slumber through the night. In their dreams they often take, Through fairyland, a flight. But the purest of all thoughts Is that when a man prays To the Lord for mankind’s good, As bedtime grace he says. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. M C Gupta 18 August 2007
