Contessa: Character Description

Contessa Winfrey is a twenty-seven year old woman with long blonde hair, heart shaped face and blue eyes. She is six feet four inches and wants to change the world. She was born in Tennessee and has never married. She was going to Medical School but her father ran out of money and Contessa had to give up her career but she is still a healer. She uses her knowledge and the wisdom she learned from her best friend Morning Rain, a Native American woman. She learned how to use herbs and flowers for healing.

Contessa was attacked by Renegade Indians in the woods and she was able to escape when she found a dead buffalo carcus. She smeared blood all her face and body and cut up the buffalo and used his fur to wear over her body. She was yelling and chanting and scared off the Renegade Indians except for one. A big Indian man, Thunder Bear wouldn't leave her alone. Morning Rain saved her life when she killed him with a bow and arrow. Contessa and Morning Rain's friendship begin. Morning Rain lived on her own because her family disinherited her. Contessa and Morning Rain helped wounded southern men in the Civil War and Contessa was able to do surgeries. She was a Nurse in the Civil War for awhile but after being injured by a patient, she went back home to live with her parents and friend Morning Rain. Contessa and Morning Rain traveled to England to visit Contessa's uncle Maurice Winfrey. Contessa was his favorite niece and he welcomed her and Morning Rain into his home. Maurice was well off and Contessa got a job at the hospital working as a Doctor's Assistant. She met General Sharay Mentone who was 15 years older then her. He was the Doctor she worked for and they hated each other on sight. Contessa wouldn't back down and Sharay knew she was a healer and that made it worse. While watching her skinny dip in her uncle's pond one night, unbeknownst to her. The General started to feel something for her that he denied to himself. Contessa wanted to heal people and never gave romance a thought but General Mentone stirred something in her heart and she, too denied her feelings for him. Life was changing for Contessa. I hope to write a novel for this.
