When someone reads my items I like to know they understood the message, when they criticize the grammatical and spelling and not mention the message then  I see literary pseudo intellects, a snobbery I don't respect. If they describe the message, noticed a spelling error or some minor correction I appreciate bringing it to my attention. We write to express and tell what we feel needs to be shared. A creative person paints a picture, we are not all english majors, but have thoughts and ideas. If our works warranted publishing then a large percentage would need editors. This is a great site not a college course. If I seriously considered publishing I know I would need to hire an editor.
