I rise and go with unhurried steps
Tempered the mind against depth
All runs shallow over tired matters
Tweezing up energy in slim tatters

Straighten the synapses try to fire
Long lines of hours siphon desire
A glimmer in weeks past burned high
A weak ember now pressed to try

Overuse and undercharged driven on
Pride and presumption barely gone
