My Grandma Ree
This is a poem I wrote after the death of my Grandma.

MY GRANDMA REE

She was in her 80s
         taking Doans pills
         for muscle pain.

But, it was her heart
         that was failing.

Then he, who supposedly loved her,
         had her cremated
         without even a funeral
         to say good-bye.
Like she never existed.

But she did exist.
