Closed Classroom Doors My heart tugs past the window pane, where I look out at England's rain. Yet here I am 'til half past four, caged in behind a classroom door. A blowing breeze makes tall trees sway. I whisper, "Please, take me away," but my cries the wild wind ignores, for I'm behind closed classroom doors. Classmates chatter, teachers swoon, while I wait for the afternoon. But I see clouds, as grey as sores. Between are glass and classroom doors. The bell rings, yet the day won't end- there's other classes to attend. Only as the day winds down once more, I'm free, beyond this classroom door. --- Entry for:
